I am a caring mother of 3 who has been working with children for the last 15+ years. I was an assistant in the 3 year old group at a kindergarten for 8 years. I have Nannied for several families over the last seven years, the children’s ages range from babies to school age so I have experience with bottle feeding, nappy changes, sleep routines, preparing meals, kinder and school drop offs/pick ups and plenty of fun learning activities. I am currently working with a lovely family (3 children aged 8,6 & 4) for 1 day a week and am interested in finding another family on the other days. I completed my Certificate III in Children's Services in 2011 and have since worked at an Early Intervention Centre, occasional 4 year old assistant and 3 year old assistant at a pre school. Hello! My name is Arshi, I am a paediatric and neonatal registered nurse (working with kids and babies) with 3 + year’s experience as an RN. I work on a casual contract meaning I can chose and pick up my own shifts in the week, therefore I can be flexible during the week. I have recently decided to pick up babysitting/nannying as I have changed to casual work in this stage of my career and would love to connect with families with little ones who just need a helping hand. I am very friendly and bubbly and if you are happy with my application, I would love to meet up for a coffee with you and your little ones to discuss in detail expectations. I absolutely love working with kids and babies and love making our time together fun, interactive and as educational as you would like. I usually set a schedule for activities to keep our minds and body active such as drawing, colouring, building blocks, music, making/creating jewellery, origami and just getting outside to kick or throw a ball. And for babies, ensuring their development is progressing by using interactive toys, soothing music, tummy time, teething, play mats, adequate awake/rest periods etc depending on age. I am very confident in bottle feeding, swaddling, settling and nappy changes, and have 1+ years of experience with newborn babies and those that may have compromised health having worked in the special care nursery ward. I am up to date with all my paediatric and neonatal CPR as well as the advanced resuscitation courses in both areas. I can be flexible throughout the week and the occasional weekend and/or Friday night with plenty of notice. I am also very very dog friendly as I have my own beautiful and well trained German shepherd at home so no need to worry if you have furry friends.

Having worked in the childcare industry since 2008, I now also have 2 children of my own as well (Age 8 and 18 months). I have a Diploma of Children’s services, and have worked as an Educator, Lead Educator, Au Pair and babysitting for all ages. Having dedicated my career to working with children in my current role now, actually train Educators working with children!
