Hello! My name is Hikaru Matsuura, and I’m originally from Japan. I have been studying Early Childhood Education for nearly five years, starting from high school and continuing at university. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Childcare and English at Ohkagakuen University, and I am working towards obtaining both the Japanese Nursery Teacher License and the First-Class Kindergarten Teacher License.
Throughout my studies, I have completed teaching internships in kindergartens in both Japan and New Zealand. These experiences have taught me how to plan and deliver engaging lessons, support children’s emotional and developmental needs, and create a safe and welcoming classroom environment.
To broaden my perspective, I moved to Australia in 2025 to study English at INUS English and gain international childcare experience through ZOI Education, where I am currently involved in local childcare internships. I have also taken part in several volunteer childcare activities, helping me to strengthen my practical skills and deepen my passion for working with children.
Additionally, I have experience working in customer service, which has helped me develop strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
I believe in respecting each child’s individuality and emotions. My goal is to create a safe, caring, and enriching environment where every child feels valued and supported in their growth.
