Hi families! My name’s Sarah and I’ve been consistently working with kids, teens, and adults (ages 4 to 40+) in a professional and voluntary setting since 2021. I have also had a few baby sitting gigs for family friends in the last few years (ages 2-8). I’m currently a 2nd year university student, work as a cello teacher, and volunteer at an art gallery (ACCA).
As someone who grew up with nannies as a kid, I have so many amazing memories with my unofficial big sisters! Exploring local museums and parks, making arts and crafts, and playing board games were some of my favourites. I am excited to enjoy fun activities like these and more with the kids I end up nannying. I have a bubbly, can-do attitude and, as someone who is still young, I find that I can easily keep up with children. Working with kids has easily always been the best part of my job. The time with my students flies by and doesn’t feel like work at all!
I am first aid and CPR qualified, police checked, have a working with children card (VIC & QLD), am fully vaccinated, and have a driver’s license and car. I’m great with pets and always look forward to spending time with my family dog and cat when I visit home. I particularly love baking, reading, and getting out of the house to explore local suburbs!
Coming from a family of educators, I have also absorbed so much valuable knowledge about childhood developmental stages and what it takes to effectively connect with children.
If you think I might be right for your family or if you would like to get to know me a bit more, I’d love for you to reach out!
I have marked my rate as $35 per hour, however it is open for negotiation
Look forward to hearing from you!
Sarah
