Hi, my name is Issy I am currently studying economics at UTS. I am originally from a town called Gunnedah in rural NSW and am now living in Neutral Bay. I have lots of experience with children through nannying for a few families over the past few years including 15, 14, 9, 5 and 2 year olds, babysitting regularly and coaching a variety sports at St Scholastica's College for kids of many ages. I have a car and know my way around Sydney. I have a warm and bubbly personality, I love kids and tend to get along well and build a bond with children as well as being a role model. I am deeply passionate about care work, I previously have worked with infants and toddlers at Only About Children Seaforth and was the afterschool care coordinator at Pittwater House & Convent Christian College. Anything outdoors and active! I have a list of activities I like to do with kids of all ages and modifying the activities when necessary to suit developmental stages I have a firm and fair approach. I try to balance gentle, kind and loving with providing structure, routine and boundaries for kids. I think that balance is important to keep them grounded and teach them to be well rounded. I Believe in providing acknowledgement and validation for their feelings and experiences but also appropriate consequences when necessary and to place boundaries. I like to encourage kids to be independent, curious, get them thinking and learning, building self esteem and to instil strong values I’m a safe driver with a clean driving record. I can send you all my relevant documents including driving record. I enjoy driving even in crazy conditions of Sydney traffic! I’m confident driving big cars, I’m used to driving other peoples cars I’m organised (I’m not a fan of chaos!) and I like to plan things out like a routine for the day, including meals, sleep and activities. I enjoy cooking and like to do meal planning for the week. I study health science majoring in nutrition and exercise and like to apply what I study into my life and work I think it’s best to work with the parents as a team to make sure the kids are thriving. Open communication and keeping updated on what’s happening is important to me as well as being transparent, assertive and honest I have references who’ve known me for a long time since I’ve been working with kids for 10 years! Prior to this, I was a tennis coach for about 3 years casually and then 3 years full time after having competed through my teenage years. Every year at Virgin we undertake a first aid and CPR course and every 2 years, we must renew our national security I.D. which means they run a police check on us. If there are any charges or infringements, we would not be able to renew. This has never happened to me in over 14 years. Am also triple vaccinated Looking forward to hearing from you.
