Hi my name is Katie. I worked in two daycare centres and was a full-time nanny for 15 years prior to starting my career as a Social Worker five years ago. I am currently in between jobs and am looking for some babysitting roles. Once working again full-time I am still wanting to do weekend babysitting. I have a lot of skills as both a nanny/house manager and would love to help a family out here and there while I’m available. Casual babysitting preferable but also happy to assist families durint the week until I find my next full-time role. I can cook, drive, spot clean and am very confident with children of all ages. I’m a warm, caring and reliable early childhood professional with 20+ years’ experience in the early childhood education and care sector, including extensive hands-on experience with babies, newborns and infants (feeding, settling, sleep routines and early development). I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a current Working With Children Check, and up-to-date First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, and SIDS & Safe Sleep training. I’m also Circle of Security–trained and place a strong focus on building secure, trusting relationships and emotional connection with the children in my care. I have a full driver’s licence, my own car, I’m a non-smoker, and a big animal lover, so I’m very comfortable with pets. I’m also happy to help out with light housework, washing and meal prep.
