Looking for: Casual Babysitting

I have around ten years of experience caring for children aged 0–13 as a babysitter and nanny. Additionally, I have a degree in Psychological Sciences with a focus on developmental psychology. Beyond babysitting, I have worked as a children's gymnastics coach and art teacher, giving me a well-rounded understanding of child development across different domains. I strive to incorporate evidence-based approaches from my degree to create a nurturing environment that supports children’s developmental needs. My goal is to help raise kind, independent, and resilient children using empirically supported methods tailored to each child's unique personality and stage of growth. Most recently, I completed a three-year position caring for a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old, where I managed school pickups and bedtime routines 1–2 times per week. I also regularly provide casual babysitting for several families and can offer references upon request. I have experience working with children of all ages and abilities, including neurodivergent children, and a variety of interests. I pride myself on being adaptable to each family's needs and preferences. I also hold a valid Working With Children Check. While I generally follow a gentle parenting approach, I am flexible and happy to align with your family’s preferred parenting style. With me, your children will enjoy engaging art projects, fun games, high-energy activities, and the benefit of my extensive experience in childcare.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting,Au Pair

My name is Fabiola (Fabi). I am an Australian Citizen (I have lived in Sydney most of my life and intend to continue residing in Sydney). I have a current Working with Children Check and First Aid & CPR Certification. I am fully vaccinated against COVID 19 as well as against flu and whooping cough. I do not drive, but am very adept at travelling with babies and children on Public Transport. I have a University of Sydney Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Education) degree with a triple major: Psychology/Education/Mathematics (my favourite subject being Developmental Psychology). I have extensive experience as a nanny, babysitter and tutor: positions I have always thoroughly enjoyed. I believe that ensuring children's safety, and respecting them and listening to them is of utmost importance. I have loved and been fascinated by children ever since I can remember. Since I was 15, I have provided both paid and non-paid childcare: I have a natural aptitude for facilitating children's learning in a fun way. I love caring for babies; it is a privilege to be there when they are learning so much: the world we tend to take for granted is so brand new to them …. I delight in the "purity" of children and their behaviour. And when their behaviour is ah… beyond the pale, I take deep breaths and somehow tend to keep my cool! I am a good communicator, mature, trustworthy, honest, reliable, nurturing, compassionate, loving, patient, friendly, kind, humorous, easygoing, proactive, energetic, and creative. I care very much for nature and the environment, enjoy a healthy life style (e.g. I do not smoke) and am very affectionate with pets. I put my all into the babies, toddlers and children under my care. I positively impact their lives: being a good role model, seizing the opportunities that present themselves to further their development and education, having fun with them, and being there for them as they face life's challenges. I also provide solid support for the parents. So, if you need a nanny, babysitter, educator or tutor who a) absolutely loves interacting with babies (including newborns), toddlers and children, b) is passionate and knowledgeable about childhood development and teaching, and c) loves to feel like a part of the family, well, here I am!

Hi, I’m Nurcin! I’m 27 years old, originally from Turkey, and currently living in Australia. I’m studying English here, and my level is advanced. I have a very flexible schedule and truly enjoy working with children of all ages. Over the years, I’ve supported many families and cared for children from newborns to teenagers. I find great joy and purpose in being part of their growth and everyday routines. Some of my most meaningful experiences include: Providing full-time care for a newborn over three years, supporting the family through feeding, sleep training, hygiene routines, and developmental play Assisting a mother part-time for 1.5 years with her newborn baby, helping with daily baby care and offering gentle support during the early months of motherhood Caring for a 6-year-old boy, managing playtime, meals, and daily structure Supporting a 12-year-old with schoolwork, especially maths Babysitting 4- and 5-year-old children, including dressing, feeding, bathing, and bedtime Growing up helping care for my younger brother and younger relatives, which built my confidence, patience, and natural instincts with children In addition to everyday care, I’ve also supported children in more delicate situations: I have calmly and successfully handled multiple choking incidents, staying composed and using basic first aid skills when needed — always as a fast responder, never due to my actions I’ve provided first aid for minor injuries like small cuts and scrapes, helping children feel safe and reassured I also assisted in the recovery of a baby who had undergone surgery, including helping with wound care and dressing changes under the mother’s guidance, as well as gentle physical support during healing I’m warm, responsible, tidy, and truly enjoy being around children. I love cooking (even for picky eaters!) and always try to bring creativity and positive energy into the day — whether through storytelling, music, dancing, or simple imaginative play. If you’re looking for someone experienced, calm under pressure, and genuinely caring, I’d love to connect and see how I can support your family.

Hi there! I’m Clara, currently in Australia for an engineering internship at Macquarie University. I’m looking for babysitting opportunities while I’m here because I truly love spending time with kids, and I have lots of experience doing so! I hold a BAFA diploma, which is a French qualification for working with children, and I’ve had the chance to care for many children, aged 3 to 12, during summer camps.
