Looking for: Casual Babysitting

Hello! My name is Lucy. During the day, I'm a secondary school teacher/course coordinator at a private school in Canberra. On weekends and some weeknights I enjoy babysitting! I love nothing more than caring for babies, playing with them, putting them to sleep, taking them on adventures, exploring nature, and taking them through their sleep, eating, and hygiene routines. I grew up supporting my own mum when she had twins, to then babysitting her friends babies, and now my own friends and their babies. For the last year an a half, I've been working closely with two families supporting them when I have time away from teaching (weekends, school holidays, and some week nights). With one of these families, we have been doing elimination communication from the time the child was two months old, so I can help continue with the support of this and any potty training endeavours you may have. I am open to, and supportive of all styles of parenting and will always endeavour to fit myself to your styles, practices, routines and traditions. In addition to this, I know that encouraging family culture and faith can be very important to families, and I am open to learning about and supporting your families own culture and faith when engaging with your children. As a currently employed teacher, I am up to date with first aid for adults, children and infants, and have a current working with children check in both ACT and NSW. I have also completed training for anaphylaxis and use of epipens, mental health, child safety, mandatory reporting for child safety. I am open to discussing rates. They are set based on my experience, training, and qualifications.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I’m 18 and first started babysitting for my neighbours a couple of years ago when they needed someone to watch their little ones after school. What began as a favour quickly turned into something I really enjoyed. I love seeing how kids’ personalities shine through in the smallest moments, whether it’s their excitement over a new game, their curiosity when they ask endless questions, or their creativity when they make up stories. Babysitting has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create a fun, safe space where kids feel comfortable. For me, it never feels like “just a job”, it’s genuinely rewarding.

Hello, my name is Hulan. I’m 36 years old and a citizen of Mongolia. I currently hold a dependent visa and work as a hotel supervisor during the day. I have a 12-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, whom I’ve raised in a healthy and active way following my own Asian parenting style. They are currently living in my home country, as I haven’t yet been able to bring them to Australia. I love children — spending time talking and playing with them, and exploring their little world always brings me joy. I also believe that being close to children while learning English is very helpful, as they remind me to stay curious and keep learning like them.
