Hi there!
My name is Lexiie and I am 21 year old professional.
I have approximately 8 years of experience with looking after children. I am a passionate, funny (I like to think!) and a very empathetic person who loves the beach, reading, playing sports, socialising and listening to music. I am an extremely hard worker, having worked across the board from 13 years of age in a range of industries; Babysitting/Nannying, Hospitality, Marketing, Real Estate and Property Development. However, childcare has always been a constant for me.
I am super sporty, having played Basketball at a high level in my teenage years. I am very well adjusted to other sports and love being outside. I am a very neat person, and typically always tend to clean up in my spare time regardless of the necessity!
A fun fact of mine is that I have three older triplet siblings aged 32, so I became an Aunty to 5 kids pretty quickly! I have always loved looking after my nephews and niece from watching movies, playing at the park, taking them shopping, and other little adventures. I am really easy going and will always put children and their safety first.
In particular, a lot of my hands-on childcare experience came through helping my brother who is a single parent. Over the years, I’ve regularly cared for my niece, which has deepened my love for helping families. This experience has inspired me to support other parents who need an extra hand, and I truly value the connections I build with the families I work with. It’s incredibly rewarding to know I’m making a positive difference in their lives.
I have worked with the same family through another agency (Peas in a Pod) for the past 2/3 years, initially during the week and weekends, now it is just Saturdays. (Experience includes: pickup/drop-off to and from school, light housework duties including laundry, kitchen tidiness, unloading dishwasher/putting away, clean-up after kids, make kids beds and ensure room is tidy, take kids to activities and usually join in myself, lots of at-home activities, putting to bed, getting them ready for school etc.,)
My Mum is also a teacher for children who experience learning difficulties and/or struggle with certain disabilities, so I have learned a lot from her when it comes to education and homework-help.
Thanks for reading and I hope to chat soon! :)
