We are two mums looking for a long-term, reliable and experienced nanny to join us in caring for our 10 month old girl. We are looking for someone who will feel like an extension of our family -someone energetic, caring and genuinely passionate about working with children. We are looking for 3- 3.5 full days of support, making this an ideal role for someone seeking about 25-30 hours.
The ideal nanny will be confident managing our baby independently and alongside us as we may be in and out during the day. Responsibilities will also include light housework, general tidying up and meal preparation for the baby.The primary focus of our nanny will be to follow and support our babies daily routine including feeding/naps/play & planning activities to support development.
The role will involve regular weekday early starts sometimes 630 or 7am, with finishes between 2.30-5pm. We will also need this person to work approximately 2 Sundays a month for 4-6 hours each shift (timing negotiable). As our work commitments change throughout the year we need someone who is wiling to be flexible with start and finish times (ample notice will be given).
Start time is flexible – ideally first week in Jan but could negotiate to be earlier if required by candidate.
Essential:
- Experience working independently with infants and young children
- Willingness to work with flexible scheduling.
- Proactive attitude towards light housework/keeping things tidy during downtime.
- WWCC & First aid cert.
- Positive references from previous employers.
- Reliable and punctual with an ability to commit to minimum 1 year with our family.
Desirable
- Early childhood qualifications
- Valid driver licence and willingness to take baby for outings.
- Ability to offer occasional ad hoc hours on other days/evenings/weekends when needed
- Willingness to travel with the family for occasional special trips.
