We are a warm, first-time family living in Bardwell Park looking for an experienced and nurturing babysitter to care for our very happy 7-month-old son.
Our boy is happy, gentle, and thriving. He is a good feeder and sleeper and is exploring new solids. He has no food allergies. He is sitting up, rolling, but not yet crawling. He loves playtime and on his playmat, particularly with his blocks, reading books, listening to music and loves a good chit chat with people. We highly value open, honest communication and are hoping to find someone reliable who will genuinely enjoy engaging with him and becoming a trusted part of our community and family support network.
The Role and Schedule
We are seeking reliable care in order to attend a wedding on Saturday 13 December. We will need our boy cared for from 3PM to 11PM, a total of 8 hours. This would involve dedicated one-on-one care for our 7-month-old.
Key Responsibilities
Following our baby's established feeding and nap schedule (milk and solids preparation).
Engaging in age-appropriate play, floor time, singing, reading, and gentle developmental activities.
Excellent hygiene (nappy changes, cleaning up after meals).
Providing a very brief check-in on naps and feeds.
Essential Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who meets the following criteria:
Proven experience (2+ years) caring for infants (specifically babies under 1 year old) is mandatory.
Current certification in Infant First Aid and CPR.
Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent background check.
Excellent references from previous childcare roles.
A valid driver licence.
Must be a non-smoker and reliable/punctual.
Optional: Own reliable car. We are trying to raise our baby boy bilingual (Spanish and English) so it would be helpful to know if you can speak Spanish.
