Temp Nanny in June and July

Temporary Nanny Position Available - Brighton VIC | Full-Time | August Start

Time Period: 15 June to 24 July

Hours:

15 June 2026 - 26 June 2026 for onboarding / familiarisation, this would be 4-6 hours over the time period, specific hours to be agreed.

06 - 9 July and from 15 - 24 July full time, 9am to 5pm every workday.

Additional casual hours may be offered after this time.

About us:

A vibrant, busy household in Brighton, Victoria, we are looking for a nurturing, positive, and enthusiastic temporary nanny to care for our son, M, who is one year old, while our permanent nanny is away on holidays. This role will include some hours for onboarding with our permanent nanny before she goes on leave and then full time work while she is away. There may also be additional casual hours offered after this initial time period for other leave cover. Our family includes M and also the Dad's three teenage sons (19, 16, and 15) who live with us full time. While the household is lively and filled with music, sport, and activity, this position focuses solely on caring our youngest son. Mum works from home most days and will be available for support when needed.

Job Description:

Full-day care for the baby, including play, meal times, napping and developmental activities such as encouraging physical development and taking him to his activities as well as for walks, the playground.

Maintain a nurturing, stimulating environment tailored to M's needs.

Light household duties such as ironing and preparing M's meals.

Driving M to his activities (locallly).

Ideal Nanny:

Experience caring for infants (0-12 and 1-2 years) and passion for child development.

Positive, upbeat, and caring personality.

Willingness to collaborate with parents and carers and communicate openly.

Happy to work in a home where a parent may be present during the day.

Expectations:

2+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care

Childcare qualifications

Young baby experience

Have a current first aid certificate

Have a current Working With Children's Check

Display strong communication skills and speaks English

Non smoking

Whooping cough vaccine

Full drivers license and clean driving record (Family car provided during work times)
