We are a relaxed and happy family looking for a caring, reliable and experienced carer to help with our two boys (ages 7 and 12) at least two afternoons a week – for Term 4, Thursdays, and preferably Wednesdays too.
We are flexible around Uni schedules, exams, and study needs. There’s also the opportunity for extra hours during school holidays and occasional evening/weekend babysitting if interested.
🕒 Hours: Approximately 3:15pm – 6:15pm
📍 Location: Brighton, VIC
✨ What the role involves:
School pick-up (by car)
Active playtime, supporting homework for 12-year-old, possible sport training (depending on day)
Preparing and cooking simple dinners
Light tidy-up
💡 About you:
We’re looking for someone who:
Enjoys being active – think basketball hoops, couch-cubby house building, pool time, colouring, kicking the footy and general fun!
Is confident preparing snacks and dinner for the kids
Has prior experience and references
Is independent, responsible, reliable and shows initiative
Has a kind, calm nature yet knows how to have fun and relate to children
Helps maintain a smooth and balanced household rhythm
Is happy to lend a hand in the kitchen and cook easy dinners
Holds a driver’s licence (own car required, we have spare car-seat)
Lives locally or not too far from Brighton
Please note: We’re ideally looking for someone who is staying in Melbourne longer-term, so this role may not suit short-term travellers.
💰 Rate: Negotiable based on experience
