Meet Emma: A nanny and babysitter in Maroubra, NSW

Hi, I’m an Irish nanny based in Maroubra. Currently looking for local casual but regular weekly work.

I have been nannying full time for 3 years in Australia and have over 10 years of nannying/childminding in ireland. Most of my work & experience has been with newborn-3 year olds. I am very comfortable and confident with young babies.

I have extensive experience & knowledge with different forms of feeding be it paced feeding for breast fed or colic babies/pumped/formula/introduction to solids be it puree or baby led weaning including allergy testing. I’m very confident when it comes to getting babies to sleep in a safe & secure way. I have done lots of gentle sleep training methods with babies I have nannied including overnight help for parents

I am a very caring, nurturing & responsible nanny. Although my job is to care for the kids daily needs & make sure they have fun, the most important thing to me is keeping them safe.

I have always loved babies, helping them learn and grow.

I enjoy keeping busy with the babies & love to bring the little ones to parks/beaches/play groups/library classes/swimming and on cute cafe dates. Meeting other Nannie’s/mums & baby friends.

I also have a little cavalier dog & with my current babies the parents are more than happy for me to pop in & take him for walks with the little ones which they love.

He’s a gentle little guy & I’m always beyond careful & cautious when it comes to babies being around any dogs no matter how friendly they are.

I am very fun, affectionate, caring & very patient.

I form a loving bond with all babies that I care for and treat them like they are my own nieces & nephews back home who I miss terribly!

Always more than happy to take babies to any appointments or development checks they have.

I like to keep parents updated on how the babies/kids are doing & pass on any info I think is necessary at the end of the day. Lots of my families love to get picture/video updates of all the fun we get up to throughout the day but this is completely up to the parents.

I have my own car so am happy to put seats into my car if needed or I am more than happy to drive a family car. I often care for babies in my own house if it suits the parents better on days they have to work from home (obviously this is once they’ve known me for a while)
