Meet Manel: A nanny and au pair in Maroubra, NSW

Hello! My name is Manel, I’m a 26-year-old French woman currently in Australia for a gap year after completing my studies in Paris. During my studies, I worked as a babysitter, and coming from a big family with 12 nieces and nephews, caring for children of all ages has always been a big part of my life. I’ve always naturally enjoyed being around kids and taking care of them.

When I first arrived in Australia, I spent the first few months working in hospitality, but over time I realised how much I missed working with children, it’s truly where I feel the most comfortable and where I can bring the most value.

After looking into different opportunities, I decided to apply here as I would love the chance to support a family, help with their children’s daily routines, and create a fun, safe and caring environment for them.
