Meet Arabella Holly: A nanny and babysitter in Mermaid Beach, QLD

Hi, I’m Bell! I’m 25, originally from the UK and now living on the Gold Coast. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Studies from the University of the West of England and have several years of hands-on experience supporting children in various settings.

I’ve worked in nurseries, preschools, and residential programmes for children with additional needs. One of my most memorable experiences was working with a young boy who initially found it hard to connect. After a few days, he suddenly burst out laughing — from that moment, we formed a beautiful bond. It reminded me just how powerful connection can be in a child’s life.

I aim to create calm, respectful, and engaging environments where children feel safe and valued. I’ve supported daily routines including toileting, meals, naps, and sensory needs, always with patience and care.

Outside of work, I love reading, long walks, and relaxing with a coffee and banana bread at the beach — something I couldn't enjoy back in the UK!

I bring warmth, reliability, and a down-to-earth approach to every family I support, and I genuinely love helping children grow, explore, and feel seen.
