Meet Mariah: A nanny and babysitter in Eastern Heights, QLD

Hello! My name is Mariah. I have worked in the childcare sector for about 2.5 years as a trainee but am now finishing my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at TAFE. After my wonderful experience in a service, I realised I would love to connect with families more closely and really provide more individualised care for children in my community. My fellow educators would always tell me I did really well one on one with children and with small groups - so here I am! If you need someone to look after your little one who prioritises open communication, kindness and fun - I would love to help! Often, I will bring along my ukuleles and/or board games if the child/ren I am looking after are interested in these! My professional experience is with ages 4 months to 5 years and I have babysitting experience all the way up to 12 years.

My philosophy regarding caring for children is all about respecting children and their agency, being patient and finding the fun in their learning and development.
