Meet Tegan: A nanny and babysitter in Holder, ACT

I’m 18 and first started babysitting for my neighbours a couple of years ago when they needed someone to watch their little ones after school. What began as a favour quickly turned into something I really enjoyed. I love seeing how kids’ personalities shine through in the smallest moments, whether it’s their excitement over a new game, their curiosity when they ask endless questions, or their creativity when they make up stories. Babysitting has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create a fun, safe space where kids feel comfortable. For me, it never feels like “just a job”, it’s genuinely rewarding.
