Meet Ashleigh: A nanny and babysitter in Merewether, NSW

My name’s Ash, and I’m currently seeking work here in Newcastle after recently relocating from Queensland with my partner, who has joined the Newcastle Knights NRL team.

I have extensive and varied experience working with children of all ages and abilities, including those with disabilities. I also hold a current Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, along with a few other certificates that may be helpful.

My background is also deeply rooted in the performing arts — I grew up in Mackay, QLD, where I spent much of my schooling years teaching younger children dance, singing, and acting. At 17, I moved to Melbourne to pursue my performing career, where I continued to teach and also provided regular babysitting for a family in Essendon.

Now that I’ve settled in Newcastle, I’m excited to continue doing what I love most — working with children. I’m bright, bubbly, reliable, and patient, and I take great pride in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for every child in my care. Watching them learn, grow, and express themselves brings me genuine joy.
