Looking for: Part-time, Casual Babysitting
Hi families! My name is Lucia, and i'm 20 years old. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing, which I hope to graduate by the end of 2027. My goal at the end of my study's is to specialise in paediatrics, which is why I am looking to continue nannying where I can help make a difference for busy families and to also make a fun and safe environment for the kids. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, listening to music and running. I also have two younger sisters who I absolutely adore, and spending time with them is one of my favourite things to do. Growing up with younger siblings has given me plenty of hands on experience, as I’ve spent many years helping out at home and supporting them as they've grown. That experience, combined with my study's as a nurse has given me a strong foundation in both responsibility and compassion.
I believe children thrive best when they have a good balance of fun and routine. I’m also comfortable handling busy schedules, multiple children, and last-minute changes with a calm and positive attitude.
I have experience with a wide range of age groups, as I have taken part in running holiday camps through ASC for young kids between the ages of 5-15. Through this holiday camp I was given the opportunity from families asking me to babysit for their children as they loved how I grew closer with the kids over the camp. I have been fortunate enough to babysit for a family over the past year with a 4 year old and 6 year old, doing this two full days a week and occasionally on the weekends for an extra helping hand.
Throughout the day, I carefully structured a mix of active and calm periods. I often arranged outdoor activities like playing in the backyard, going for walks, or visiting local parks to encourage physical exercise and fresh air. I also planned occasional trips to the library, where we would read stories together or take part in children's programs to help nurture their love of learning. In the kids downtime, I supported the household by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying play areas, organising children's belongings, and helping with laundry. This helped maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both the children and their family.
I truly love what I do. Babysitting isn't just a job for me it's an opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s day and to support families in a meaningful way. Whether you need someone for after-school care or full-day supervision, I’m here to provide trustworthy, attentive care that you can count on.
