Hi families! I'm Bridget, 24 years old with 4 years of nanny experience and a year's experience as an Early Childhood Educator! I am completing my Cert 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care at the end of June and beginning my studies in a Bachelor or Primary Teaching. For the duration of 2016, I worked as an au pair in Sydney for a family of three children ages 6, 8, and 11. From 2017 I began work in Newcastle caring for twin 3-year-old girls and a 6-year-old boy and toward the end of 2017-2019 gained a second job caring for girls aged 2, 5 and began care for their sister once she turned 6 months. My nanny roles included packing kids' lunchboxes, getting them ready for school including making breakfast, dropping them off at school and picking them up, taking them to after-school activities such as swimming, tennis, gymnastics, etc. I baked for the children regularly for special snacks (super yummy banana bread). I did light housework daily such as laundry, dishes, making beds, and more. I made dinner for the children every night, made sure they were showered and homework was completed, and babysat, often putting them to sleep of a night. I also worked during school holidays and enjoyed bonding with the children over trips to the movies, park, beach, museum, going for walks, etc. I also helped out when families had large groups of friends and families around organising the house, children, and food for the afternoons. I am looking for a similar job as I enjoyed my previous experience as a nanny immensely & created amazing bonds with the children. Additionally in my role as an Early Childhood Educator, I have gained further experience caring for babies and children aged from 6 months - 5 years and planning and implementing age-appropriate programs, communicating with families, ensuring the health and safety of children, identifying and minimising risks, leading daily group activities, daily nappy changes, assisting with toilet training and meeting individual needs for sleep and rest time. I look forward to meeting you.
