I am Amanda and I am very self driven, bubbly young woman who comes with a humorous and nurturing nature. I have had experience working with young children in kindergartens as work experience. I also come with a great level of experience babysitting young cousins and family friends from new borns - 12 years old. Over the years, my part time work has been support work & babysitting whilst I've navigated through different courses. I have worked with various families and gained experience with children with disabilities. I currently am working casually as a support worker for a gorgeous autistic boy, however I am in the search of a more permanent, long term role with guaranteed hours weekly whilst I study. In 2018, I finished up placement at an institution for young people with special need requirements, which taught me how to manage young children of all ages and gain experience with a range of learning and social disabilities. From this, I have learnt a lot about patience and compassion. Currently, I am studying a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in behavioural studies. I hope to eventually work as a social worker with children. I previously studied a Bachelor of Youth Work (but did not finish) and prior to this I studied one year of a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, therefore I have quite a bit of knowledge regarding the development of young children. I have grown up myself understanding the importance and the impact of the environment in which children are growing up in, therefore I take my work with young children in any setting very seriously. I am a positive person who is full of life and energy so I will not struggle to keep up with your little ones!
