Hello! I moved to Melbourne nearly nine years ago from Canada to work as an au pair. I have over fourteen years of experience caring for children from as young as newborns to children older in age. I completed the Babysitter’s course at the age of twelve and my years of experience began at a young age by caring for family friends children as well as my younger brother and sister who are twelve and ten years younger than me. I worked as an au pair and nanny during my first couple of years here and just a few years ago for five different families, both here in Victoria and in Western Australia. I then based myself in Melbourne while travelling to many countries over the next couple of years. Upon settling back into Australia more permanently I spent a year and a half in Byron Bay to complete eight-hundred hours of yoga teacher training. Since I finished the course I have been working as a yoga teacher and studying full-time. I continue to take yoga training courses to enhance my knowledge. Among the additional courses I have also been qualified as a family and children’s yoga teacher which I am very passionate about. I absolutely love working with children, being a positive influence in their life and being a person to help in teaching them important and meaningful practices like mindfulness and compassion. I enjoying cooking and am someone that cleans up as I go. I am able to take care of the children while ensuring household tasks are also taken care of.

I provide a daily program that is aimed at developing and extending the child’s critical thinking, skills, interests and abilities.
I am available for weekend work if needed. I have my own car, a police check and a working with children check :)
Hello! I started working with children over 10 years ago as a babysitter. My background has been as a professional athlete. For the majority of my life I played hockey for the Canadian national team. During my time as a professional hockey player I travelled the world and lived with many families. I was at times working as an aupair and playing hockey. I was also coaching young children field hockey. These experiences gave me the ability to work well in diverse environments. I came to Australia almost 6 years ago and began working in a professional setting until I decided to make a comeback to the national team to play in the Olympics. I have always loved to be active, which is why I bring a lot of enthusiasm with the children I work with. When Covid hit, it was a blessing in disguise as it got me working with children again-I have absolutely loved it. I am a confident, self starter and hardworking young women who has a love for children. I am also passionate about health and well-being. I love to cook healthy delicious meals for the children. Most families have raved about my cooking! For the past year I have been working in childcare and recently working as a nanny/house manager and housekeeper/housecleaner. I am capable of managing larger families and I am very organised. The biggest family I have worked with is a family of 6, whom I am still with. I am a woman who wears many hats and love being of service to families who are in need. Ideally, I would like to work with a family long term 3-4 days a week and between 30-40 hours.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.

I also worked as a local life saver, volunteering for "nippers" which is a weekly activity for young kids to do beach activities, I assisted as a supervisor and teacher.
I am also in the process of getting my WWCC.
QUALIFIED NANNY & NURSE SEEKING INFANT NANNYING ROLE. Hi Families! My name is Jasmine and I'm a qualified Nanny (Certificate 3 in Children’s Services) and Registered Nurse (Paediatric experience) returning to Melbourne after a brief year away - hoping to secure a new infant nannying position upon my return. For the past 6.5 years I've worked as a nanny in both live-in and live out positions. I have nannying experience with children of all ages, with the most experience from birth to 24 months of age. This is an age I genuinely enjoy and adore working with. My first, and one of my favourite nannying positions, was a live-in nannying role with a lovely family where I assisted the mother in minding her 2 year old and newborn from birth. I have continued to work causally for / stayed in contact with this family for over 6 years, this included joining them as their nanny on two overseas trips to Europe. Whilst completing my Bachelor of Nursing degree, I worked as a live out nanny in numerous different roles. Each of my multiple nannying positions had me working with infants - a main role involved being a sole care nanny for a newborn for up to 40 hours a week, until he was 18 months of age. I regularly see this family and it is unbelievable to think we recently celebrated his 4th birthday! On completion of my Nursing studies, I was extremely lucky to secure a position working as a Paediatric Nurse at the Royal Children's Hospital. The incredible opportunity to work as a nurse has allowed me to realise my ultimate passion of working with infants, particularly infant development. This realisation encouraged me to further my studies and I'm excited to now be completing a 3 year Master Degree in Child Maternal Health Nursing, whilst continuing to work as a nanny. My more recent nannying position, and one I hold very close to my heart, saw me working with an incredible family and an amazing 2 year old little girl - who I started caring for as a sole charge nanny weekly when she was 12 weeks of age. This position sadly came to an end due to my misguided decision (which felt right in the moment) to leave Melbourne during the unpredictable times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Even though I wont be returning to this family as their nanny, I’m thankful for our ongoing relationship and regular visits (which will excitedly be even more frequent with my return to Melbourne) - they truly are considered family! Currently and for the last 6 months, after regretfully leaving Melbourne and moving to Regional Victoria, I’ve been working in a lovely childcare centre as an assistant educator in the infant room. Although I’ve enjoyed this role change (which saw me working with up to 12 babies in the room at a time – ratio 4 babies to 1 educator), I much prefer nannying and the personalised connection of working with an individual family. Therefore, on my return to Melbourne, I’m hoping to secure a new infant nannying role (ideally sole charge) of 30 hours per week. My Qualifications include: Bachelor of Nursing, Certificate 3 in Children Services, First Aid, CPR, Police Check & Working with Children's Check. I'm currently studying: Master of Child and Family Health Nursing (Online Post-Graduate Degree). I charge $30-35/hr and can help with any household duties including: laundry, kitchen tasks (dishes, meal preparation etc.), and the running of appropriate errands. Further, I'm confident in all aspects of infant care: organising/implementing nap routines, introducing solids, nappies (including cloth) and toilet training, bathing, bottle sterilisation etc. If I sound of interest and could potentially be a good fit for your family, I'd love to hear from you! Many thanks, Jasmine.
