Looking for: Part-time

I am a 42 year old nanny who has been working in the nanny / childcare industry for the past 20+ years (working as a nanny for the past approx 20 years and a babysitter for the past approx 24 years), caring for children in their own homes, I am also able to offer care in my own home if this is your preference. I am looking for 3 to 4 days a week work and a long term commitment of 2+ years as I think its important for young children to have consistency with carers.I have worked for many different families as a nanny and have looked after up too 4 children at once, I have looked after children from age 5 weeks up till the age of 15. I own a convertible baby seat and a booster seat, however if you would prefer I am also happy to drive your vehicle as I have done in a past position. One question I have been asked many times is why do I want to be a nanny, the answer is simply that I enjoy looking after children and being a nanny / child-carer. Being a nanny is something I have always wanted to do, I believe that next to being a mother being a nanny is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding jobs you could ever do, I have no children of my own as yet so I strive to put my heart and soul into my work as a competent, professional, caring nanny. I thought I should add that although I have listed my pay rate at $25 an hour I am flexible on this for the right position.

QUALIFIED NANNY & NURSE SEEKING INFANT NANNYING ROLE. Hi Families! My name is Jasmine and I'm a qualified Nanny (Certificate 3 in Children’s Services) and Registered Nurse (Paediatric experience) returning to Melbourne after a brief year away - hoping to secure a new infant nannying position upon my return. For the past 6.5 years I've worked as a nanny in both live-in and live out positions. I have nannying experience with children of all ages, with the most experience from birth to 24 months of age. This is an age I genuinely enjoy and adore working with. My first, and one of my favourite nannying positions, was a live-in nannying role with a lovely family where I assisted the mother in minding her 2 year old and newborn from birth. I have continued to work causally for / stayed in contact with this family for over 6 years, this included joining them as their nanny on two overseas trips to Europe. Whilst completing my Bachelor of Nursing degree, I worked as a live out nanny in numerous different roles. Each of my multiple nannying positions had me working with infants - a main role involved being a sole care nanny for a newborn for up to 40 hours a week, until he was 18 months of age. I regularly see this family and it is unbelievable to think we recently celebrated his 4th birthday! On completion of my Nursing studies, I was extremely lucky to secure a position working as a Paediatric Nurse at the Royal Children's Hospital. The incredible opportunity to work as a nurse has allowed me to realise my ultimate passion of working with infants, particularly infant development. This realisation encouraged me to further my studies and I'm excited to now be completing a 3 year Master Degree in Child Maternal Health Nursing, whilst continuing to work as a nanny. My more recent nannying position, and one I hold very close to my heart, saw me working with an incredible family and an amazing 2 year old little girl - who I started caring for as a sole charge nanny weekly when she was 12 weeks of age. This position sadly came to an end due to my misguided decision (which felt right in the moment) to leave Melbourne during the unpredictable times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Even though I wont be returning to this family as their nanny, I’m thankful for our ongoing relationship and regular visits (which will excitedly be even more frequent with my return to Melbourne) - they truly are considered family! Currently and for the last 6 months, after regretfully leaving Melbourne and moving to Regional Victoria, I’ve been working in a lovely childcare centre as an assistant educator in the infant room. Although I’ve enjoyed this role change (which saw me working with up to 12 babies in the room at a time – ratio 4 babies to 1 educator), I much prefer nannying and the personalised connection of working with an individual family. Therefore, on my return to Melbourne, I’m hoping to secure a new infant nannying role (ideally sole charge) of 30 hours per week. My Qualifications include: Bachelor of Nursing, Certificate 3 in Children Services, First Aid, CPR, Police Check & Working with Children's Check. I'm currently studying: Master of Child and Family Health Nursing (Online Post-Graduate Degree). I charge $30-35/hr and can help with any household duties including: laundry, kitchen tasks (dishes, meal preparation etc.), and the running of appropriate errands. Further, I'm confident in all aspects of infant care: organising/implementing nap routines, introducing solids, nappies (including cloth) and toilet training, bathing, bottle sterilisation etc. If I sound of interest and could potentially be a good fit for your family, I'd love to hear from you! Many thanks, Jasmine.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello! I moved to Melbourne nearly nine years ago from Canada to work as an au pair. I have over fourteen years of experience caring for children from as young as newborns to children older in age. I completed the Babysitter’s course at the age of twelve and my years of experience began at a young age by caring for family friends children as well as my younger brother and sister who are twelve and ten years younger than me. I worked as an au pair and nanny during my first couple of years here and just a few years ago for five different families, both here in Victoria and in Western Australia. I then based myself in Melbourne while travelling to many countries over the next couple of years. Upon settling back into Australia more permanently I spent a year and a half in Byron Bay to complete eight-hundred hours of yoga teacher training. Since I finished the course I have been working as a yoga teacher and studying full-time. I continue to take yoga training courses to enhance my knowledge. Among the additional courses I have also been qualified as a family and children’s yoga teacher which I am very passionate about. I absolutely love working with children, being a positive influence in their life and being a person to help in teaching them important and meaningful practices like mindfulness and compassion. I enjoying cooking and am someone that cleans up as I go. I am able to take care of the children while ensuring household tasks are also taken care of.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi families, Welcome to my profile ☺ I am a young at heart, mature woman with a beautiful just turned 26 year old of my own who lives independently. I have a positive, upbeat & engaging personality. I was a School Captain & have the ability to get along with all types of people. I have done some voluntary work for Single Family camps creating programs for children at these camps & I was responsible for keeping babies, toddlers & even teens occupied while giving Mum or Dad some much needed respite. This was a fantastic experience & I resided at these 5 day camps solely to help out with the other camp leaders. I have also worked as a Swimming Teacher with the under 5's which I found very rewarding. In my last 10 years working as a Nanny I have cared for twins, multiple children (up to 8 at one time in total) & children with disabilities, asthma, eczema & other challenging health conditions. I'm experienced with new born babies up to teens. I am trustworthy & reliable. I am always punctual & haven’t been late for any job. I'm a very good communicator. I’m hard-working, diligent, energetic & enthusiastic and a whole lot of fun! I have trained in nursing and paramedic studies. I have had extensive experience with babies and children dating back to the age of 9 when I babysat the neighbours children (including a couple of newborns!).... in total 15 !! I have always been mature & responsible beyond my years. I have been surrounded by children my whole life including my 4 younger siblings and 30 1st cousins! I was a mother figure to my 4 younger siblings as my mother was working full-time as a Nursing Sister & my father was away from home a lot in his job as an International Airline Captain. I have had a lot of responsibility from a very young age. I am Aunty to 12 nieces & nephews so I love the interaction with young children. I enjoy the spontaneous and honest interaction that children provide and I find it immensely rewarding knowing that I am able to influence and help a child to learn and grow confidently. I'm fair with a gentle approach& can be firm while teaching boundaries. I believe all children require stability and need to know they are loved and lovable as a basic right. I never cease to be amazed at the lessons that children can teach us adults! I am inspired by the enthusiasm that children have when learning about the world around them. I tend to establish a good rapport with the young ones I care for which I find very rewarding. Children are so precious & truly a blessing to be cherished. Importantly, I am pro-active with a 'can do' attitude & I have a keen eye for detail so nothing goes unnoticed! I am very safety-conscious so your childs welfare is of utmost importance to me at all times. I can be flexible with time & I am more than happy to work with you to suit you and your childrens ongoing needs. Nb. I have had my car licence for 40 years & I'm a very careful driver with a full licence & faultless record. No accidents. I look forward to meeting you and your precious children. *My rate is dependent on time of day & children needing care. As per regulations my rate starts at $28 per hour & I prefer to work a minimum of 2 and a half to 3 hours. Thank you.* Thank you for reading & have a lovely day! Warmly, Fionna
