We are looking for a wonderful nanny for a Monday starting from 7am. The day will be mostly with out 5 year old son Lachie who really enjoys playing footy and being out and about. We have a 7 year old at school but we would need the nanny to either walk or drive him up to school (school is about a 20 minute walk).
We also have a dog names Gus so he will be around during the day.
We are looking for a kind, caring and energetic nanny to help us in the home and with school pick ups / activities on the afternoons of Monday, Thursday, Friday. This role will take over from our current nanny who is moving overseas, looking to confirm someone in the role by 4 August.
We have two very loveable primary school aged children aged 8 years (girl) and 6 years (boy). Our 8 year old loves arts and craft, writing songs and performing.
Our 6 year old is a little more shy, but is super kind. He loves the outdoors, especially trampoline and basketball in the backyard.
We can be fleixble on days.
This is the usual schedule, which may vary a little depending on activities:
2.00 - home organisation / fold washing / prep afternoon snack (Ivanhoe East)
3.20 - school pick up (Ivanhoe Grammar School)
3.30 - school activities (various locations max 3km from Ivanhoe)
5.00 - home organisation (unpack lunchboxes) / do homework
6.00 - finish
We live in Kew with our 3 children aged 6.5, 4.5 and 2.5; our daughter goes to Camberwell Primary while the other two do a mix of kinder (Hawthorn East) + childcare (Kew).
I am looking for someone who could help weekday afternoons from around 3-6pm - helping with school pick-ups and drop-offs to after-school activities for the oldest 2. We’d need help 1-2 days a week - regular Wednesdays + occasional Mondays / Tuesdays.
During school holidays or weeks when one parent is traveling for work, we may also ask for more hours - as possible.
Ideally, we would love to find someone who is:
* Mature and experienced - bringing confidence, comfort and good judgment around small kids - able to bring fun and playfulness yet maintain firm boundaries
* Warm and kind - creating strong positive attachments with our kids
* Engaged and development oriented - thoughtful about exposing the kids to activities and experiences that will help them learn and grow - i.e., talking and playing vs looking at phones + screens
*Trustworthy, responsible and prompt - shows up when and where promised - always acts with honesty and integrity - proactive in helping where needed
* Respectful - listens to and supports our intentions as parents - takes care to leave the space better than you found it
* Flexible - quick to adapt as needs evolve, willingly flexing tasks / timing to support where it’s most needed
* Has a drivers license, car and clean driving record - and willing and able to drive 2 kids
Bonus points would be someone who:
* Has flexibility for additional hours as needed (esp. during school holidays)
* Speaks French
Will pay a competitive rate for the right fit.
