We are a family of three. Both professional parents work full time and our son is 11 years old and is in Grade 6 in a local primary school.
We are an active and outgoing family who like to get out and about on the weekends. Our son is energetic and lively, so we will need someone to be outgoing, active, engaging and fun as well as firm when needed.
We require someone who has some experience nannying active children and who can help with homework, reading and writing, hang out with him and give him some undivided attention and care.
We need someone reliable, punctual and flexible, who is an open communicator. This is key, to ensuring the safety, support and oversight of our child.
The role entails meeting him at our home (our school is close by), make sure reading and homework is done, and play games – need to be creative, have energy and enjoy time outside. Drive him to activities on Thursdays and Fridays.
Keep the play areas / bedroom and kitchen clean and tidy. There will be a cleaner during the week.
You will also cook dinner and coordinate the meal.We need someone who can cook and is interested in healthy, nutritious food.
Sometimes during holidays there may be outings to museums etc and you need to be comfortable catching public transport to get to places,
Care over some days during the school holidays would also be good. To be discussed as will be longer hours. We will of course agree this with you.

I have a 3 year and 5 year old and I’m looking for someone who is available at short notice to babysit my children, minimum of 5 hrs a night on a weekends on a casual basis duties involve making dinner, light housework duties, bath time and bed time.

The day would be Tuesday and depending on our work schedule start time would be between 7am to 8am with finish time between 2pm-3pm. Hello! We are looking for someone to help us out in June, July and August while our nanny goes travelling.
We have three children; the older two (8 and 6) go to Fairfield Primary and the younger (nearly 3) goes to day care very close to our house.
Specifically we would be looking for before school care (which would usually entail arriving 6.30am, sometimes later) including day care and school drop offs, and after school care for the older two plus day care pickup for the 3 year old, Monday-Wednedsay. We would also likely need some evening babysitting and occasional care on other days if you were available. So this would entail 6.30am-9am and 3.30-6.30pm Monday-Wednesday.
We'd prefer to operate on a flexible basis as our rosters mean that sometimes we can cover the morning or afternoon stint.
Our kids do some clubs locally on some of those days so ideally you'd have your own car, but if you can manage the pickups and drop-offs from our house to the school (1km walk, kids are fine with this) then we can work around the other stuff with help from family.
Our kids are not difficult to look after and we can be flexible with your commitments if you give us as much notice as possible.
It would be great if you were happy to help with dinner prep for the kids and occasional household tasks like hanging out or folding laundry, making lunchboxes etc.
While this is a short term assignment, it's highly likely that if we all got along we would continue to use you for babysitting or occasional childcare when our regular nanny is unavailable when she gets back.

My name’s Lenore and I’m a nanny looking for another nanny to take over my current role working with a family in Fitzroy North! You will be helping Jac (mum) and Ash (dad) with their two beautiful primary school kids, 4 days a week.
It’s a busy household, so we’re looking for someone who can help with the daily routine, including school drop off/pickup and after school activities, Monday to Thursday. The hours are 7:30am - 9:30am and then 3:30pm - 6:30pm on each day (5 hours per day / 20 hours pw).
Both Cate and Harry are pretty independent being 8 and 10 years old which is something we’re trying to encourage as much as possible. They’re able to get themselves ready in the mornings and help pack their lunches, help prep dinner sometimes and shower/get themselves ready for bed in the evenings, etc.
Cate is 10 and has just started in grade 5. She is an absolute chatterbox / actor in the making, also loves to read and is always planning her next story to write. She’s super witty (major lols) and has got a lot of sas too! Little bro Harry is 8 and has just started grade 3. He’s such a sweet boy who’s also very active and loves sport, especially footy (carn the blues!), basketball and soccer. He’s totally your go to guy for footy final updates and hot takes! He also loves drawing and playing games, plus has a very admirable dedication to his footy card collection!
In between helping the kids and getting them from A to B, which includes afterschool activities for both, it’s also important that you’re able to help with running the household more generally. This will include things such as grocery shopping, cooking meals, helping the kids with their homework, keeping the place tidy, doing the laundry and some ironing too.
These guys are a super social and fun family who are always open to new ways of doing things. Jac and Ash are also happy to be fairly hands off and allow you to set your own rules/boundaries with the kids and will respect them. The end of the week usually calls for a glass of wine together and a good catch up. They’re warm and welcoming people who are always there to listen and offer their support to you personally, just as much as you will for their fam too :)
I have loved this job so much, and it’s with a heavy heart that I’m moving on from it only to begin a career in the area of my study. As testimony to this, I have been with these guys for almost 4 and a half years now and they have truly become family. We’re ideally looking for someone who can commit long term, however, it’s not necessary for you to have any qualifications in related fields of work/care. We are looking for someone to help look after our 2-year old son. He is a fun, cheeky boy that loves playing outside. He also loves reading and singing songs.
I am pregnant, due mid-late June and we would love someone who could also help look after a newborn later in the year. I will be on parental leave, so the nanny would only be responsible for 1 child at a time.
Our son goes to daycare in Carlton (10-15 minute walk away) on Tuesday - Friday. We are looking for someone to look after him on Monday afternoons in May and then help out one additional afternoon (ideally Thursday) with his post day care routine, including dinner and bath.
Before picking him up from daycare, we would like the person to help around the house - tasks would vary day to day but could include preparing family dinner, emptying dishwashing, household washing and going to the supermarket/post office.
