We are a family in Chadstone and seeking a fun and caring nanny to care for our children, daughter aged 3.5 years and son aged almost 2, at least two days per week (Thursday and Friday and one other) but likely 3. The children can be delightful company and get along very well (aside from the usual sibling banter!). We do have pets but do not expect any pet care. We have recently moved to a new house so plenty of space and parks nearby. Looking for a warm and energetic babysitter with experience in disability. We have a gorgeous little boy with special needs (autistic/ADHD/Intellectual Disability) who is 5 and developmentally around 1-2 years old. He is nonverbal, very active, and has a lovely happy temperament. He loves water so any sort of water play or movement-based activities keep him entertained and happy. We are basically needing an extra pair of hands a couple of times a week for 3-4 hours (afterschool or weekends) to give us some time to get some work done from home, spend time with our other 2 kids, or run some errands. This would involve picking him up from school, minding him at home, nappy changes, doing some therapy exercises, and/or taking him out to the park. Every few months (July/Dec) we need some more intensive babysitting that would involve 2-3 mornings a week for 3 weeks where he would need to be driven to his intensive therapy program and assisted in between therapy breaks then driven to school).

Example responsibilities include school & kinder drop offs, caring for / playing with the children, meal prep & cooking, bottle feeding the baby (once a day), washing/folding, making beds, general tidying but no heavy cleaning.
In 2024, the week will look like this:
Mondays - 7:45 - 5:30: After helping the children get ready for the day, it will be school drop off then you'll be home with our 4 year old and the baby. This day may end up including taking our daughter to something extra curricular like swimming or gymnastics in between the baby's naps.
Wednesdays - 7:30 - 5:30: Kinder drop off of our daughter, school drop off of our son, then home with the baby for the day until kinder & school pick up (2:45, 3:20pm) . He sleeps usually two naps a day and while he is napping you can help us get on top of our domestic to do list.
In 2025, this will change to be Mondays and Tuesdays. Ideally we'll have the same person for both days, but if you can only do one at this stage please be in touch as we'd be open to having to different people on each day for the right fit.
