We are a family living in Samford Valley. We are seeking a nanny to care for our 2.5 year old and 1 year old boys (Jack and Charlie) when I return to work. The hours would be 3:30-6:30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (this time is flexible and can be negotiated for the right person). You would be required to pick the boys up from daycare in Samford, bring them home and give them dinner, bathe them and help with general tidy up. We will be home usually 5:30-6:30pm to assist. The position would start in January, however we would like the successful applicant to do some casual shifts before that date to get to know the boys and our home. We are warm and happy people, living in a lovely Queenslander with two dogs and some chooks. We are keen to find somewhere fun energetic and reliable who can pick up our 10 year old from school at Fig Tree Pocket by 4 or 4:30, bring him home to Ashgrove and keep him happy and entertained until mum gets home from work around 6pm. Some occasional assistance with his older siblings (boy 12, girl 15) may be required such as a local pick up or drop-off but they pretty much take care of themselves. The pay is $150/week for about 6 hours work plus your own travel time to and from.

I am looking for help with my 3 school aged children that would involve getting them from school each day and some after school activities where required. My children are 5, 8 and 10. I am a single mother that works full-time and so just need that essential help after school. It may also involve some dropping to school, and occasional periods on the weekends. Some help with the children’s homework would also be helpful along with some basic cooking, cleaning and washing of clothes. We're a professional family in Woolloongabba looking for a babysitter to work 3-5 days a week (variable on a 4 week roster with some flexibility - averaging around 15 hours a week) for afterschool pickup with some transport to activities in the immediate area (car trips < 10 minutes as a rule), own car preferable but not necessary. We have two healthy happy children aged 12 in year 7 and aged 8 in year 3. School pickup is local and comfortable walking distance. The role includes meal prep, help with homework, boys washing 1-2 times a week, transport to activities and general tidying. If you would like more hours/longer shifts there is scope to extend to house cleaning, further washing (there's always more washing!) and dog walking. We both have variable work hours so occasionally would require you to finish later. There is scope for evening babysitting as well.
