Nanny needed to care for our 18 month old grandson for four hours each Monday (8am - 12pm) at our home in St Ives.
Granny (that’s me), grandpa and mum (that’s our daughter) will be working from our home while you are there. As I only work half days, I will take over the care of our grandson at 12pm and if required, will be your go to person during the time you are with us so that our daughter can focus on her work 100%.
During the four hours you are with us you would need to:
- ensure a good mix of indoor and outdoor activities
- prepare and supervise the eating of food and drinks
- walk to the local park for time on the play equipment
- ensure sun safety & safety around general hazards
- change nappies & clothes as needed
- put him down for his lunch time sleep
- tidy up toys / kitchen etc. before heading home
Requirements:

- Previous experience caring for a toddler
- Qualification in a child-related field (or currently studying) (ideal)
- Confidence around dogs (a mini schnauzer/poodle & a Rhodesian Ridgeback who is very sweet but nonetheless a big dog!)
- Permanent residency status
Note: if you are confident to walk a big dog AND if my work is not busy, there might be times when I could take over the care of our grandson while you take the Ridgeback dog for a walk

We need someone on a Friday 7-9 am to help get the children ready and to take them to school and daycare which is within walking distance to our house.
There may be an additional Thursday 7-9am which might be needed but this can be discussed and hopefully booked in advance.
This position is only required during school terms.
If you would like more hours, we could discuss and arrange a specific day of the week to provide extra hours or a regular night babysitting.
