Looking for: Casual Babysitting

I am a very experienced babysitter looking to build relationships with families for casual evening babysitting. As I work full-time as lawyer, I am only available for casual, evening babysitting, after 6pm. I first began babysitting at the age of 14 and have experience babysitting for children of two years of age and older. I have worked with a large number of different families; cared for boys and girls and up to three children at one time. I have cared for children with autism spectrum diagnoses and complex needs. I greatly enjoy working with children, am warm, approachable and gentle. As a babysitter I am very interactive; I enjoy playing games with children, overseeing activities such as craft or art, or taking children for walks or to the park. I am capable in the kitchen and able to prepare meals. I am happy to oversee and assist with homework; I have an excellent academic record across a broad range of topics. In 2017 I spent six months as an au pair for an Italian family with three young boys in Florence, Italy. This was a wonderful experience. My day consisted of collecting the children from school in the early afternoon, taking them to tennis, the pool or the park, or supervising their homework at home. I often prepared dinner and put them to bed too. In 2012 I spent six months volunteering in schools across India. I taught English and Humanities classes and also assisted students with their homework. I also spent a great deal of time with students in a relaxed playground setting; just talking, playing and helping them with their English. I have my own transport. I am punctual and reliable, fast at responding to enquiries and flexible in terms of availability. I would be excited to discuss my suitability to care for your children.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello! I'm from Mexico and I've been in Australia for 5 years or so, I have a long history working with children. Back home I worked as a kindergarten teacher and worked in this capacity for 3 years back then, also, when I was much younger sometimes I looked after my nieces and nephews. My experience as a nanny in Melbourne: -Family in South Yarra for about 2 years with 2 girls (1yo and 3yo when I started) -Family in Armadale for 2 years, with twins (boy and girl) (2.5yo when I started) -Family with 3 kids (7yo, 6yo and 3yo) in Armadale for 5 months before they moved overseas (with this family I had a nanny role plus housekeeper role, I organised pretty much everything in their house and lives, including breakfast and dinner) -Family in Northcote, for 1 year, with 2 boys (2yo and 5yo when I started) My references are quite strong and also I've done lots of casual babysitting. I've done housekeeping and cleaning too (have references also), and I'm more that happy to get a role that involves that if necessary. I'm a confident driver and I have a full Australian licence, I drove a lot with my last 2 families. I'm a very patient, positive and affectionate person, I love dancing,, camping, reading, meditation, travelling and hiking, and I genuinely love being around kids. I also love being around animals (in case you have pets), I keep myself very active and healthy and I always try to help kids learning new thing 😊 Looking forward to hearing from you!

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello parents! I'm Kelly, a 38-year-old who's got a blend of wisdom and childlike wonder, available for casual babysitting. I am a regular babysitter for families across Fitzroy, Thornbury, and Brunswick East, fostering joy-filled moments with kids aged 1 to 9 years old. I am also a regular babysitter for my 3yo niece, who never fails to fill my heart with happiness as she explores the world. Babysitting is a joy, filled with crafts, playgrounds, Disney movies, baking sessions, bike rides, science experiments, and story time. I enjoy cooking and often prepare nourishing meals for the kids. Although my main focus is on giving the kids my full care and attention, I might have time to whip up a meal for parents as well. Warmth, authenticity, and nurturing are my go-tos. I'm all about fostering creativity and curiosity, making every moment a blend of fun and learning. Kids have this incredible knack for reminding us of life's simple joys, and I find that truly inspiring. While I work full-time from 9 am to 5 pm, I operate from home on Fridays, so offer flexible support on that day, and most evenings and weekends are also open. I am excited about the opportunity to connect with you and your children, creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for their growth and happiness. Looking forward to speaking with you soon! 😊

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I'm 43 years of age and I love kids! I have always found communicating and relating to all sorts of kids, comes very naturally to me. I am happy to do babysitting and/or nannying jobs. I consider myself to be a well-balanced person, emotionally, mentally and physically, which I believe sets a positive/necessary role model for growing and developing children and encourages a positive and healthy rapour/relationship between the adult and child. I have had 14 years on and off experience caring for children. From late 1994, I began nannying for a 2-year-old girl, Gemma and in 1996 when her baby brother, Jack, was born, I began babysitting them both for the next 8 and a half years. My Duties included: Changing/washing nappies. Bottle preparing and feeding. Supervising and participating in play/learning exercises. Ensuring that children had proper rest/quiet time periods. Cooking, bathing and showering of children. Taking children to and from kindergarten and school. Taking children out on excursions and participating in creative and physical activities. Ensuring completion of assigned homework and assisting with set text reading for school. Making sure child was in bed by curfew set by parents. Ensuring completion and attending to chores/duties set by parents. Cooking & preparing healthy/nutritious meals for children. Basic home duties, eg; washing dishes, sweeping, laundry. Assisting and guidance with Homework. Providing ideas and suggestions to children about activities and exercises to participate in, encouraging their interests and natural strengths. Ensuring each child was in bed by its set curfew. Intervening when conflicts between siblings became verbally or were at risk of becoming physically abusive, implementing conflict resolution skills and applying them to the situation and the siblings involved. I find working with children a really enjoyable experience and being able to help children to explore their interests, develop their talents and independence & build self-esteem, is extremely rewarding. Every job I take on, I take seriously and believe that every child I care for receives 100% dedication, commitment, attention & care. Ideally I am looking for casual evening and some weekend work, as my last semester at school will take up a large chunk of my week.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello! My name is Maya and I am a 28-year-old living in Thornbury. I am outgoing, kind and empathetic. I absolutely love working with children and can't imagine doing anything else! I am currently working as a Teachers Aide at a primary school in Northcote, i finish at 3.15pm every day. (because of this, my driving radius would have to be a 15 min max for school pick up at 3.30) I have many years of Childcare experience in babysitting and Nannying as I have been in this line of work since I was 15. I worked at an Out of Hours School Care and worked casually in the same school supporting students with additional needs in Brunswick for 5 years. Because of this I completed the Certificate IV in Education support in 2018, with a pathway into the Bachelor of Education at RMIT University. I have deferred from the bachelor as I was offered a job as a teachers aide and have absolutely loved it ever since! Whilst studying and working I have nannied many families and both times have only discontinued due to covid lockdowns or moving suburbs, I am looking for something long term and to become part of the family. In the future I would like to complete the the teaching bachelor, but for now i am content. Dont hesistate to contact me if you have any further questions!
