Hello families!! My name is Sarah. I am a energetic 18 year old who has always loved and adored spending time and being around kids of various ages. I have been associated over the years with taking care of children through sport and absolutely thrive around them enjoying all the fun and joy that the little ones carry with them. I engage well with children of all ages and have been told that I have a very good way with them. I enjoy all aspects of kid entertainment and care including costume and dance parties, park exploration, hide and seek, arts and crafts and even helping with educational tutoring. During high school I was privileged to have work experience in a Primary School setting teaching students in grade 3 and this sparked my further love of educating and being around children encouraging me to apply and be accepted into uni for Primary Education in 2024. This course was deferred however for this year (gap year) so I could gain more life experience and take a break off study to work and do my own thing. I am looking for part-time or casual work, however will commit to more time (full time based) for the right family. I hold a current Blue Card (working with children card), and have a current CPR and First Aid course. I’m currently out of town but will be moving back and available from the 15th Feb. I love children and have been raised constantly surrounded by children. I have a very large family and friend circle so I have been helping with children from a young age myself, and am experienced in caring for all age groups. When caring for children under 1yo, a little more instruction provided would make me more comfortable though. I also have an older brother, so I know how to handle sibling fights as I was involved in quite a few growing up! I'm still a child at heart so will happily colour, play games, and watch kids shows without being bored, but am serious when needed. I will be at university from 9am-1pm on Mondays, 10am-1pm on Thursdays and 2-5pm on Fridays. Other than that I'm quite flexible, and my class hours may differ when the trimester begins.
