Meet Maria: A nanny and babysitter in Adelaide, SA

Hi there!

My name is Maria and I am an international student from Canada studying within the Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy program at the University of Adelaide. I am looking for a casual/part-time job for this upcoming semester break. I complete my studies the first week of June.

I would describe myself as a caring, bubbly, patient and compassionate individual. I have a lot of passion for the program I am in and the work I do and I strive to create meaningful, trusting relationships with people and try and surround myself with really good people. I have always had a passion for taking care and working with children, and have many years of experience with children aged 1yr-12yrs old. I have worked as a nanny while studying my undergrad back home in Canada and my experience also includes working with children with exceptionalities, cancer and mental health. I have a pretty good sense of humor and love bringing laughter to my practice and also knowing when to be more professional during more serious moments. I was a Ukrainian dancer for 13 years and also love to play baseball. Some of my hobbies include being very active, anything to do with creating art, singing, cooking/baking, writing, swimming and going to the gym.

I also have a vulnerable sector check from Canada but am willing to get the Australian WWCC. I am also open to discussing an hourly rate. This is a very short description of my work experience, so please contact me if you wish to connect further!
