Looking for: Part-time

Hello! I'm an Indian student studying psychology here in Melbourne and I'm looking to make the best of my time here. For me, that means spending a lot of time with children! I'm currently an English tutor for Years 3 and 4 at a coaching college but I'll have to quit as it's too far, which is what brought me here. I know that trusting someone with your child is really difficult, but my only intention is to be as present for them as I can, teach them a thing or two and really look after them to the best of my abilities. I hope to get an opportunity to do that:))

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, My name is Val, I am 25 years old and I live Melbourne, but I am Colombian I arrived in this beautiful city 11 months ago because I want to improve my English and have a cultural exchange, I have always loved children and take care of them, I usually took care of my little brother, my cousins and the children of my friends when they needed it. My family and friends say that I am a very motherly, responsible and loving person, and I also love children. I am responsible person to have the opportunity to improve my English, learn about your lifestyle, your habits and your country, which I admire very much. And what better way than doing what I love! I love spending time with children and learning everything they can teach me every day. They learn a lot from us, but we learn more from them than we think. For me, it is wonderful to see them grow with us and learn, little by little, to be more independent. I have experience in caring for children from 3 years to 11 years, girls and boys too. In 2017 I took care of a girl named Monserrat Tovar, who was 3 year old, and a 4-year-old boy named Samuel Tovar, then in 2018 I took care of 7-year-old boy named Juan José Pinzón and with him I shared until the 2020, later this year I had the opportunity to share with a six-year-old girl named Amelia Cardozo. The experience was great. I used to wake the children, have breakfast together, help them dress, take them to the Garden or help them with their homework when they were studying virtually or sometimes, we did activities and games for a pleasant and fun time with the children, however, these Activities varied depending on the child he was with as he adapted the activities according to their ages. Besides the experience in babysitting, I also love listening to music when I have free time, watching movies or series, traveling and learning about other cultures and ways of life, meeting new people, talking and sharing experiences, going out with friends or preparing lunch or dinner with my family or with my friends too. I am very excited about the opportunity to get to know you better and be a member of your family. I hope to hear from you! Best wishes, Val.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there Mums & Dads.... I am your Mary Poppins!! After working for a family for just over 3 years their little one is going to preschool in 2024. I now have an opening to join a new family and welcome interest from anyone looking for commitment, kindness, nurturing and success. I love children and have looked after them across many stages of my whole life, as a local babysitter since I was 14 years old. Having a person of a mature age can provide some enormous benefits to both parents and children. I know life well and in very deeply different ways. I have an extensive understanding of the impact a moment or day in time can have on a child. Being there to pick up on these signals is very important. Recognising and sensing these subtle shifts need an awareness that comes with age. Keeping a child calm and happy is important and to have skills that remove the stress or anxiety is about the energy from the babysitter as well. To become relaxed and connected/engaged with a mature age babysitter can offer great comfort to any child. The love will always be there. I recently completed working with 3 children 5-6 days a week with their mother. Two children has special needs. In a short 8 months I was able to create new routines and boundaries that all three children, as well as both parents and four grandparents all had enormous benefits from and still implement these routines. I have a love relationship with this family. The mother is really eager to be a phone reference for me to share her experience with anyone who would like to consider employing me. I was a children's swimming coach when I was in my 30's and in the last 3 years also worked with children, as a club netball coach too. In the last 12 months I have been looking after two children under 5. I did this for free because I wanted to have a life with children aside and after two successful careers. Now that I am a child's book author, I want to be around them more. I learn from them while they are cared for by me. From breakfast through to dinner and bed time this year, I was able to develop an emotional bond with both children. We laugh a lot. I understand their behavior patterns as they grow through different stages. I've been an Aunt for nearly 20 years but they've grown up. I've been a guardian to my best friends children but they live interstate. I love getting to know each individual child and creating engagement with them and their particular interests. Sharing interests is a great start to building confidence within the child's self esteem. I want my life to also support young parents too. Being a parent can be a relentless experience when life throws up other challenges. I would be a great match with parents that have set routines and ethical structure for their children to learn within. I wouldn't be a good match for families that don't create boundaries to learn within and have structured routines to give them definition and security in their day. It's always going to be about the child and their daily development. They grow up so fast and each year has an impact on developing them into young adults. Additionally I live a very honest ethical life and hold strong to this personal philosophy. I have lived a life of integrity. I am extremely reliable and punctual as I understand leadership on many levels and the need to support people who are also learning in new areas in life and in their jobs. It has developed a deep level of understanding within me. I have my own car so collecting and driving to and from activities is a usual step for me. I just need children car seats to borrow for safety in travel etc. I am regularly available for Ad Hoc babysitting including weeknights and weekends.
