Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, My name is Michelle & I am a mother of 2 independent, older children 💙💗 & also 1 husband 💚& 1 (very kid-friendly) chocolate labrador dog. 🤎 I am also a qualified Early Childhood Educator & have worked as a Childcare Assistant, then Preschool Teacher (at 2 x local Preschools for 13 years) along with minding children as a Nanny/Babysitter, on a permanent basis (during the day &/or before & after pre/school & during school holidays) in my &/or their homes for over 25 years. I really enjoy interacting with & joining children in their play - whether it be dressups, digging in the sand, building lego or something from recycled or natural materials, playing with dolls/cars, games/puzzles, drawing, painting, making slime/playdoh, reading stories, sliding down the slippery dip &/or baking cookies (real or imaginary) together. I am artistic and very creative, with lots of innovative ideas that I love to share, to spark their imaginations & ignite creative thinking in a fun, safe, stimulating environment, providing guidance & choice by offering a wide variety of materials, mediums & open ended activities, with time to explore & encourage, inspire & provoke questions & wonder, by following & extending their own ideas & interests, while they "accidentally" learn & develop new skills, through our art experiences, play & interaction. I have a light filled art & craft playroom, specifically set up to cater for our creativeness (aka creative mess !!) at my home, with a large open plan loungeroom/kitchen, covered balcony & shady backyard, where we can also make, create, bake & play together. I live in walking distance to 2 x parks & also Manly Dam, where we can also play &/or go for a bush/nature walk & am also happy to take them on outings elsewhere (like zoo, beach, library, swimming lessons, etc) too. I am a non smoker/drinker with a clean driving record & own a modern, reliable car, which can fit 3 childseats across the back. I am very patient, caring & chatty, but also a very hard worker, who is happy to help out with basic chores as needed (eg: dishes/clothes washing/bins, etc) & automatically tidy up after we play (if at your home). I hold a Certificate 111 in Childcare, a current Working with Children Check & am also a registered carer. I have also completed (& continue to attend) many personal Creative/Artistic courses & MANY Professional & Personal Childcare Development Courses /Workshops (including First Aid, Allergy/Anaphylaxis, Infection Control-Covid 19, Guiding Children's Behaviour, Autism/ADHD, Speech Pathology, Fine & Gross Motor skills, Music & Movement, Yoga, Nutrition, Cultural Games, Sustainability, Visual Arts, Connecting Children to Nature through Art) & can provide these (& more) Original Certificates, along with many excellent References & a long list of Contacts from both my work at Preschool & with the many families I have cared for & still keep in touch with. Obviously, as a Preschool teacher I am already very aware of health/hygeine/cleanliness & it's importance & continue to put this into practice daily in my &/or your home, during this crazy time in all our lives, while Covid-19 is still ongoing. I am also fully vaccinated, with both doses; completed on 16th September, 2021, I look forward to hopefully hearing from you, Kind regards, Michelle

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi parents - I come from a corporate background with a focus people, culture and wellbeing. For the past 2 years I have worked in house at a management consultancy designing and managing diversity and sustainability programs for women and parents as a way to create better work life balance. It has been challenging (nothing like a pandemic to spice things up) but incredibly rewarding. As part of my role I would help parents source and recruit nannies and support for their families. Since COVID hit I have seen how hard it is for families to get in-home support and I saw this as an opportunity to utilise a range of my skills to help make individual lives a little easier. COVID has highlighted to me the importance of work life balance, and doing something you enjoy. So I have decided to take this opportunity to transition away from big corporate and focus on working local with individuals to help make life a little easier. I am also a qualified Nutritionist and I make/sell my own organic pate on the side so I am looking for a part time role that will allow me to continue to do this two days a week (Saturday + one week day ideally). I am passionate about health and wellbeing, and regularly work with people to implement healthy lifestyle changes into their day to day. I LOVE cooking so am happy to help meal prep or cooking in my role for a local family. I am 36yo, the eldest of 3 kids with a 12 year age gap. I have two gorgeous nieces who I regularly care for (and have attempted some homeschooling of late), as well as a multitude of friends who kids I look after. I am fully COVID vaccinated, have WWC & First Aid/CPR certification. If you would like to find out more about me, or how I can work with your family, please reach out. I would love to hear from you :-)

Looking for: Full-time

Hi, my name is Bianca (37) I am a fun, loving and energetic person currently seeking a full time (pref. long term) nanny role. I would consider a Monday-Wednesday or Monday- Thursday role also. (At least 30 hours per week) Unfortunately I will be finishing up with my long term (4+ years) family, due to the youngest starting school next year. I live in mosman and would prefer something in the area although am happy to travel for the right family. I love working with children. I am currently with 2 gorgeous girls (nearly 5 and 7). I have been with the family for just over 4 years and can confidently say I am part of the family. I split my week between 2 house holds, depending on where the children are at that time (Mums house or Dads house) In my current role, have had sole charge of both children. My duties since I started this role have varied, as the children have grown. I currently work 7:30am-6pm Current duties include: - Morning breakfast routine - Preschool and school routine including taking the kids to preschool/school and pickup - Afterschool sporting activities, cooking meals for the children and sometimes the family - Manage both houses and ensure an easy transition when they are going from their dads house to their mums house - All cleaning for both households - Bathing and having the children ready for dinner - Homeschooling during lockdown - Travelling overseas with the family to nanny. - Arts and crafts, educational activities. - Providing nutritional food for the children. Prior to school/preschool age. Duties included - Preschool drop of and pick up for the eldest 3 days a week - Providing nutritious meals for both children - Toilet training - Music class, ballet, swimming and other educational activities for both children. In all of my nannying roles i have run the household including all childcare duties such as daily activities, soccer, ballet, music, cleaning, washing, cooking meals for child and family, bathing and sole charge, week at a time whilst parents travel for work. I have worked long term for several other families over the past 10 years of all age groups, And travel back to the USA every year on holiday to visit families I have nannied for over the years. I do not have any formal qualifications, although am extremely focused, reliable and trustworthy, patient and comitted and very experienced. I have worked with newborns up to the age of 15 with 10+ years experience. I go above and beyond for the families I work for and treat the family and children as my own. I take a lot of pride in my work and get a lot of pleasure and satisfaction from it. I am a non- smoker and have a full drivers licence. I am extremely flexible with working extra hours and babysitting weekends and weeknight. Remuniration would vary on the situation, depending on the role, hours, responsibility and expectations. I am confident in sole charge of multiple children. I have excellent written & verbal references. I would be available from end of December, preferably securing a position in January. Looking forward to hearing from you. BB

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Note: Will not be working during lockdown. Very reliable, responsible, creative and experienced with ages 5 months - teens. Fit and energetic. Good presentation. Grew up in Artarmon. Completed HSC at North Sydney Girls High with result in top six percent of NSW. Love working with children, and am fascinated by how different each child is. I feel it's the most worthwhile thing I could possibly be doing. Have successfully taken care of more than fifty children since starting babysitting when I was fifteen years old. Humour is definitely a factor in my style of interaction, however safety always comes first. Haven't needed so much as a bandaid so far and am of course very keen to keep it that way. I have a knack for creating a team spirit with children. Also thrilled to help toddlers learn to put on shoes etc. In-depth understanding of the various ages and stages of children. Always welcoming the differences from child to child. I am affectionate with children in a respectful way - generally there will be a getting-to-know-you period before I will initiate cuddles etc. I let the children set their preferred boundaries. Playful nature. Able to cheerfully maintain authority/boundaries, and nurture children's self-esteem. Talent for early learning (my mum taught me to read when I was three, so one-on-one coaching comes naturally to me) including reading, writing, numbers, music, and general pencil-on-paper activities. Enjoy kicking a ball and running around too; I'm an active type who likes going for walks to the park etc just as much as the children do. Good at catering to each child's particular interests, and keeping a balance between routine and adventure. Lots of experience with healthy and great-tasting cooking for families, catering for kids and/or grownups. Well informed about nutrition, including organic food. High standards of hygiene in food preparation and kitchen tidyup. Able to tempt fussy eaters with fun ways to present meals and healthy snacks. Happy to do washing/ironing/light housework, small sewing repairs. Efficient time management. Near Mosman or in city would be ideal. Excellent references. No driving, sorry, but I do live close to the bus stop, and where possible I cycle (very safe and seasoned). Have done first aid course twice and successfully applied knowledge e.g. in the case of a three year old child who had overestimated how much bread he could swallow in one go. I have first aid details pinned on my wall so I can look at them any time I feel I need to refresh. I have no current certificate. If you'd like me to redo the course I'd be happy to discuss it.
