Job Details: Casual Babysitting
Looking for a nanny to look after my 2 year old.
I am interested in a person who likes to play with a toddler, read books, change diaper and prepare meals for my daughter.
I would require police check and working with children
We are looking for someone to help care for our three daughters - aged 5 years, 2 years and 4 months - at our home in South Melbourne.
The main parts of the job are:
- Collecting our eldest daughter after school and supporting her afternoon routine (she’s very into craft and likes trips to the playground)
- Caring for our toddler around childcare times (she loves ballet, is less keen on naps)
- Looking after our baby during the day to support mum returning to work (she enjoys filling nappies and getting milk-drunk)
- Preparing simple meals for the children (nothing gourmet - basic chopping, pan-frying, boiling pasta, and reheating from the freezer)
- Light housework relating to the children (packing up toys and books, cleaning up after meals, making beds, etc)
- Occasionally taking our dog for a walk to the dog park
We won’t expect you to supervise all three children on your own at once. Regular hours would be Tues 8:30am-12:30pm, Weds 12pm-6pm, Thurs 12pm-6pm and Fri 9am-5:30pm, though flexibility would be valuable as we may ask to shift times around school holidays and work requirements.
- Can regularly work the shifts specified, ideally with some flexibility
- Comfortable caring for children this age, including a baby <6 months
- Energetic and willing to actively engage children in activities, tidy up and manage household routines
- You don’t need your own car but do need to drive for pick-ups, so need a licence and to be a confident driver
- Comfortable around a (very friendly) medium/large dog
- Native English speaker
- At least 21 years old (required for car insurance)
We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Live out au pair for Alphington sole parent family
Start Date:16 Aug 21 Applications Close:31 Oct 21
Posted by Trey 07 Aug 21
Job Details: Part-time
I need a live out au pair/nanny as I’m returning to full time work and am a single parent, currently with sole care of my 8yo daughter.
I will be working in the office 3 days per week. On those days, ideally, we would like an au pair/nanny to start at 7:30 and help get her to school (9am), collect her afterwards (3:30), either take her to after school activities or home until I finish at 6:30. Some light house keeping such as laundry, running and unpacking the dishwasher, helping my daughter neaten her room, would be part of the role.
A driver’s licence is required for this role. If you have your own car, a car levy will be included in your rate. If you have a driver’s licence, my car is a automatic Yaris.
My daughter is 8. She goes to Fairfield Primary. We live in Alphington: 1km walk from her school and 500m from the river. She loves arts and crafts, Lego and is mad for Harry Potter.
She is seeing a psychologist to help her with anxiety and sensory processing issues. So that’s why an au pair rather than the out-of-hours care is my preference for childcare. The out of hours care makes her overwhelmed because it’s so chaotic and high energy.
I’m also recovering from a medical issue so sometimes I really need a bit of help around the house. I would love to find someone who can see us through the next few years, as I return to full time work.
Dear Nannies. We are looking for someone experienced, reliable, warm and caring for a mainly after school role on 3-4 days of the week, looking after two children (aged 8 and 11). We are authorised workers and during lockdowns and school holidays would love some full days also if available.
We are looking for someone with experience and who will really engage well with the kids. We also have a 2 year old Labrador so we are looking for someone who is comfortable with dogs.
Experience, car, good refs, licence, WWC check essential.
If you meet the above criteria and are interested and available, we'd love to hear from you. Pay $30+ p/h depending on experience.
Looking for a Nanny Mondays and Thursdays in lockdown (9-1pm) then 3 days once kids back at school for my 7 year old and 4 year old in Hawthorn East. Initially will involve sitting with 7 year old for homeschooling and entertaining 4 year old then playing/entertaining both children. Nov/Dec hours will increase so need someone with flexibility and available mostly after school in Nov/Dec (3.15-6.15pm) where it will involve school pick ups/taking to after school activities/prepping and giving kids dinner.
Would love someone who is bubbly, enjoys lots of outdoor sport and activities and has an abundance of energy for two boys! Mum will be working from home for lockdown period.
Hope to hear from you soon!
