Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting
I'm a NON-SMOKING, 'School Learning Support Officer' with excellent references who loves working with children; so I work as a nanny/babysitter when I'm not working at school as a SLSO! I have extensive school/private childcare experience including overnight with 4 of the families I work for; weekends & longer stays eg 5days, when a mother joined her husband on an overseas business trip. I still do childcare &/or casual babysitting for some of these lovely families :) With my experience as a SLSO, as well as being an 'older' carer & parent; I'm confident with any age or number of children & I'm extremely reliable/flexible. Resume and excellent referees available upon request. Clean driving licence - no demerit points. Full comprehensive car insurance. WWC current.
There is nothing more rewarding than helping a child grow and learn. I am 28 years old and have an extensive amount of experience looking after children of all ages, from 8 months old through to 17. I was a swimming teacher for 4 years, worked overseas at a kids summer camp, been an after school carer, babysitter and nanny. Acting is something I love to do which is why I get along so well with kids. I love to make them laugh and smile but I also can make sure they have their nap, go to bed on time or do their homework.
I have completed my studies in Early Childhood Education (0-12 years) at Macquarie University, and have worked as a casual teacher from 2016-2019 in local schools before I returned to study in 2020. I have at least 7 years of experience working with children in a preschool and school setting as well as in more casual home settings. I also worked part time for a family that found me through find a babysitter for 18 months and was able to build a really good relationship with both kids and parents in that time, and they still ask me to babysit on an ad hoc basis. I have worked in formal after school and vacation care settings for over 3 years as an assistant and as a coordinator.
My first aid and anaphylaxis etc lapsed due to the pandemic but I am more than happy to go and get the training before commencing work if you want. Also happy to do a more recent police check as its been several years since my last one. Working with children check (paid) is up to date.
As I mentioned, I returned to study and have also started my own business so I am mostly looking for casual babysitting (e.g. for date nights etc) opportunities but may be able to do some other more frequent work depending on day, time and your location. Pay rate negotiable. Please get in touch with me if you would like to know more.
I have recently completed my masters degree in speech pathology, and currently work in neurorehabilitation as a speech pathologist. I am keen to find some regular or casual evening babysitting, and I have availability during the day for nannying on weekends. I have 4+ years experience as a swimming teacher, working with babies, toddlers, preschool and school aged children. Through this I attained AustSwim certification. I also maintain a current first aid certificate, and a working with children check. I have worked with families for the last 8 years in different childcare roles including as a live-in au pair and as a nanny. I've gained lots of experience in time management and routine, as well as the practicalities like age appropriate meals and activities. Most importantly, I love interacting with kids and playing, cooking together, and exploring. I have many references available. Please feel free to send me a message, and I'm always happy to chat on the phone or meet for a coffee! :)

Hello, my name is Gitte, and I am pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management at ICMS. I am a warm, loving, and trustworthy 19-year-old looking to provide families with babysitting and short/long-term nannying. I have almost three years of babysitting experience, caring for children aged 0 to ten, and I enjoy spending time with kids of all ages. I am willing to assist children as they progress through their educational stages; I am able to assist with homework, transport children to activities/playgrounds, and assist with light housework when needed. I have a full driver's licence and am more than able to take your children anywhere they need to go.
Very reliable, responsible, creative and experienced with ages 5 months - teens. Fit and energetic. Good presentation. Grew up in Artarmon. Completed HSC at North Sydney Girls High with result in top six percent of NSW. Love working with children, and am fascinated by how different each child is. I feel it's the most worthwhile thing I could possibly be doing. Have successfully taken care of more than fifty children since starting babysitting when I was fifteen years old. Humour is definitely a factor in my style of interaction, however safety always comes first. Haven't needed so much as a bandaid so far and am of course very keen to keep it that way. I have a knack for creating a team spirit with children. Also thrilled to help toddlers learn to put on shoes etc. In-depth understanding of the various ages and stages of children. Always welcoming the differences from child to child. I am affectionate with children in a respectful way - generally there will be a getting-to-know-you period before I will initiate cuddles etc. I let the children set their preferred boundaries. Playful nature. Able to cheerfully maintain authority/boundaries, and nurture children's self-esteem. Talent for early learning (my mum taught me to read when I was three, so one-on-one coaching comes naturally to me) including reading, writing, numbers, music, and general pencil-on-paper activities. Enjoy kicking a ball and running around too; I'm an active type who likes going for walks to the park etc just as much as the children do. Good at catering to each child's particular interests, and keeping a balance between routine and adventure. Lots of experience with healthy and great-tasting cooking for families, catering for kids and/or grownups. Well informed about nutrition, including organic food. High standards of hygiene in food preparation and kitchen tidyup. Able to tempt fussy eaters with fun ways to present meals and healthy snacks. Happy to do washing/ironing/light housework, small sewing repairs. Efficient time management. Near Mosman or in city would be ideal. Excellent references. No driving, sorry, but I do live close to the bus stop, and where possible I cycle (very safe and seasoned). Have done first aid course twice and successfully applied knowledge e.g. in the case of a three year old child who had overestimated how much bread he could swallow in one go. I have first aid details pinned on my wall so I can look at them any time I feel I need to refresh. I have no current certificate. If you'd like me to redo the course I'd be happy to discuss it.

Growing up in a very close and busy family myself and through my nannying experience with children of all ages, including newborns to teenagers, I have become very familiar with the morning and afternoon routine and a range of fun activities to do during the day for little ones! I love going to the beach, park, library, etc. and am very comfortable with taking children to extra-curricular activities such as swimming and music lessons. I also love teaching and work as a private tutor for both primary and secondary students, so I am more than happy to help out with any homework. I am energetic and outgoing and I absolutely love kids!
Hello Families, My name is Lucy and I'm 24 years of age. I am a very outdoorsy person, I play lots of sports including netball, basketball touch footy, league and ballet. I also love playing golf (at a very beginner pace) and being outside in general. I have grown up on the beaches of Sydney. I started nannying when I was 17 for a beautiful family of 2 girls, who also welcomed their 3rd girl whom I took care of at 3 months old. All girls were under 3 and were under my care. I then started nannying for my second family, a friend of the first, with 2 children (5 and 2) who then welcomed their 3rd child a beautiful girl named Georgia. I have been on and off with casual babysitting for over 2 years now with this family. My third family i looked after on a permanent basis was Leo and Orlando who were 3 and 6, and were very outdoorsy and sensitive at the same time, I loved watching them become more confident and open with me as we spent more time together. I am currently nannying for a beautiful family of two children named Mitchell and Louella (6 and 2.5 years of age) both children have completely different personalities and are so funny and confident in their own ways. Mitchell is very sensitive and absolutely loves to listen to everything about you. Louella is very outspoken and clued on for a 2.5 year old and constantly surprises me with her attention to detail. I love watching these children grow and confide in me as we become more than just a nanny and child, we become brother and sister, sister and sister and I absolutely adore each and every child under my care and make sure they are as happy as they can be. I love teaching them common courtesy and manners just as I was taught when I was younger and watch them grow as children and enhance their skills and talents and find what they love. I coach Mitchell's soccer team, and since coaching I have noticed Mitchell's confidence grow and grow as he is very comfortable with me, and his skills has exceeded his own team mates (not being bias) but its just amazing to watch what a good bond can do to anyone's confidence.
