I am an english backpacker and have been living in Melbourne on and of for 18 months now, and regard it as my home from home. I am fully qualified my qualification is a diploma in child care and education. I enjoy working with children very much and find it one of life great pleasures to watch a child develop and grow. I have been working with children voluntary from the age of 16 whilst studying for my course, at 18 when my course was completed I was offered full time work in a centre which i was voluntering for. I worked with this company for 2 and a half years before deciding to come travelling.I have workeed with various different age groups from newborns, toddlers, Pre school, and briefly at schools as well.
I am looking for full time work mon-Frid preferbly but not that fussed, i would also enjoy evening work as well after school care. I am very flexible regarding the roles that would be required of me as well as regarding hours, days and rates.

My absolute love for children brings me to apply for this position. I have been babysitting for almost three years now, most frequently for a family friend with children aged 1 and 8. I have also recently returned from Europe, where I was working as a nanny for a family in Paris. I cared for two children, Paul (11) and Jeanne (7). My duties included picking up the children from school, taking them to various activities, keeping them engaged with games, meals, exercise and studies, babysitting twice a week, some cleaning tasks, and generally providing a figure of nurture, care and support. I fell in love with the children, and cared for them as if they were my own. I understand the concerns of parents when the care and supervision of their child is in the hands of somebody else. As such, I will now briefly detail why it is that I am a great nanny. Firstly, I have a fun, young attitude. I have a creative energy, and will provide a solid framework of activity. I will share in a child’s excitement, which I know is so important in keeping them engaged. Secondly, I will listen and obey parent’s demands. I will bring my personality to my role as a nanny, which I believe helps a child feel at home, but I respect that all parenting is individual, and that it is their first wishes that go. Furthermore, I am very organised and responsible. I am only 19, and have lived, worked and traveled overseas by myself for almost a year. This proves that I am independent, and have experience being flexible and intuitive with any situation that may arise.
