I have 4 years of experience working in the Primary/Disability Education sector. I worked in student support at Carey Grammar School in Kew for 2 years and have just finished my recent tenure working as a Special Needs teacher in Alice Springs for the last 2 years. I have just started my Bachelor of Counselling online and, due to the course load, looking to take a break from full time work, leaving me with flexible full time availability
I bring a passion for emotional, social, and behavioral growth. With these in check, a healthy cognitive learning ability is fostered. I love being outside; I am quite adventurous in camping and hiking. I often trail run and would love to share my passion for the outdoors with your children!
Through my experience in the primary school sector, I have developed a diverse skill set, including playing with Barbies, Legos, and picture books, monitoring iPad use, and engaging in professional judgment in playground games like Tiggy, Down-ball, and imaginary role play. All of which I approach with fun and enthusiasm, ensuring the children in my care are laughing and happy. I can clean, cook, and help with homework. I myself am a stickler for routine and am happy to share this passion.
I have my own car with a full license, Working with Children Check, NDIS clearance check, Police check, and First Aid Level 2 certification. I am also completely pet-friendly!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Adam.
