I have completed my Bachelor of Health Science as i aspired to be a nutritionist but as i have nannied/been a house manager for families over the past 10 years (both full time and casually) i have found this is where my career passion truly lies so decided to follow this career path full time. As mentioned i have nannied for multiple families of all ages (starting as young as 4months old inclusive of weekend stays with little ones when parents are away) over the years and absolutely adore kids, helping them learn and play and showing them love, kindness and compassion whilst watching them grow into gorgeous little humans. I always find it so hard once they grow up and move into prep/schooling as I truly form such a close familial connection with every family i work for. I come from a large family myself (31 cousins on my mums side) so have always been surrounded by little ones, which i believe played a big part in me naturally gravitating to this career.
I believe it’s really important to form a caring and nurturing connection with the children and families that i nanny for as little ones thrive in a loving, supportive and positive environment. I am very gentle in the way i care for children and always try to ‘get down to their level’ in attempt to understand what they are feeling/trying to express in the moment. I believe it is paramount to work WITH parents to have clear communication around boundaries they choose to set as I understand every family is different and it’s so important to all work together to create consistency for the kids.
I also thoroughly enjoy cooking, especially healthy meals, (the nutritionist in me) but still tasty and ‘kid friendly’ I have become a master at hiding veggies in meals! With some of my families i have been more of a ‘house manager’, especially as the kiddos get older, which has had me covering tasks ranging from organizing tradesmen, picking and dropping off dry cleaning, tutoring, doing the grocery shopping, taking the kids to appointments, walking the dogs, meal prepping, taking animals to the vet, pantry organizing, changing bed sheets etc. Im very competent with any housework that may need to be done and always try to make coming home as easy and stress free for the parents. I love being outside, running around and ultimately having fun with little ones as i am a very active and perceptive person who thrives working in a dynamic and face paced environment which makes nannying and/or house managing such an enjoyable job for me as days are rarely the same.
I so look forward to hearing from you and hopefully becoming a part of the family :)
