I have recently graduated college with a Year 12 certificate with my sights set on university next year. I believe that to be a caregiver (more specifically a babysitter) means that I can help others, which I classify as a priority in my life. I like working with others, more specifically one-on-one, because I like influencing positive change in other people’s lives. Working as a babysitter means that I have the potential to make a difference in someone’s life and do things that make him or her feel better. Being a babysitter does place emphasis on the child/ren but also to the parent/s or guardian where help is needed.
I am working a few freelance jobs and flexible, I am pursuing a career in art so it's very easy to move things around for a job! I've done babysitting before for young kids (not infants) and worked for a few years casually doing face painting and jumping castle supervision. I had a Working with Vulnerable Persons card then, but have been overseas for a few years so think it must have lapsed. But I'm looking into getting another (watch this space!!)I love working with kids and could do some fun, arty activities with them if you like!
