I have been involved with child care for over 10years now. My natural ability to care for kids began when I was thirteen, my mother nature spirit kicked in while responsibly caring for my four younger sisters. Please find my recent references below.
To whom it may concern,
Elizabeth Edwards – has been a huge part of our lives, particularly since the beginning of 2012 when we employed her as our nanny. In saying this we have known Lizzy since she was just a girl. Always caring for her four younger siblings. Lizzy is a beautiful, caring, reliable, loyal, trustworthy, fun loving, positive natured woman. She helped us out as a family by providing sole care for my youngest boy three days a week and some unexpected weekends where we required her to care overnight for both our son now three and daughter eight. Lizzy managed to settle Oliver well for sleep time, always provided him with healthy meals and a fun well balanced routine. She would take him on outings – including rainforest walks, beach and to the local zoo. Lizzy often included Oliver in cooking, craft, reading and even singing and dancing! We cant speak highly enough of Lizzy. In 2013 her son Jasper was welcomed to the world, Lizzy confidently managed her time well between her son and mine, her energetic, positive can do attitude was particularly evident this year. We found it beneficial that Oliver had a close relationship with Jasper through their daily social interaction. Oliver learnt how to care for someone younger and appreciate the differences in their age by learning about a babies development stages. We wish her all the best in her future and will happily recommend her as a professional nanny, child carer or educator for the years to come.
Elizabeth Edwards (Lizzy) has been a live in nanny with my
daughter at the Q1 Tower during which time
she has looked after my 3 year old daughter Donna
Her main responsibilities included taking my child to Gold Coast Theme Parks
and lots of family orientated activities on weekends.
Other responsibilities included feeding, bathing, tidying up, washing
and shopping for the house hold including dropping my daughter off to
nursery mornings and picking her up from nursery. She
also sat in the week nights in case my daughter woke up during the night.
During the day Elizabeth studied for a International
Business Certificate which she has now successfully completed. What makes Lizzy a cut above
and beyond the rest is her admirable time management/organistaion skills
and importantly her ability to relate to and love my precious child like an “older sister”
Unfortunately due to illness, i had to make the decision to move
interstate and it is with much regret that I had to dismiss her.
Lizzy has many wonderful qualities, a bubbly personality with a heart
of gold and she has touched our hearts and made our lives more enjoyable
She is UNFORGETTABLE!
I do not hesitate to recommend Lizzy for employment in any field that she chooses
and I wish her all the very best that she so does deserve in her future!

I have used Find A Babysitter on two occasions when returning to work after maternity leave. The first time was to find a nanny for our then 18 month old girl and then further down the track, when I was returning to work after having our second child and my girls were 4 and 1. Each time we found fantastic, reliable, loving (but firm) nannies that became part of our family for the time that they were with us. Our current nanny is due to have her first child in December, so I will subscribe again shortly and start my search again. I have recommended Find A Babysitter to many work colleagues and friends over the past 4 years.Michelle (Cheltenham, VIC) Read More
I found Mikaela through this website in Feb 2010. She cared for my daughter (who has just turned 3) for 1 to 1.5 days per wk for about 7 mths until moving to Melbourne a few weeks ago. We all loved Mikaela and were very disappointed when she left. Mikaela is honest, caring, very reliable and great fun. She took my daughter on outings (e.g. playgroup, the playground, the coffee shop), cared for her when she was unwell and initiated activities at home like dancing (Little People's Disco Songs was very popular) and craft. My daughter was always thrilled to see Mikaela arrive and my husband and I always felt extremely comfortable that our daughter was not only well (and patiently) cared for but that she was having lots of fun too. I think the way my daughter feels about Mikaela was summed up one day when we were talking about how she was missing her dad when he was on an extended work trip. I was saying to her that it was a good opportunity to remember how much we care for him and miss him when he's not around. My daughter responded: "yes - like when Mikaela goes home"!Kelly (West End, QLD) Read More
