Looking for: Part-time, Casual Babysitting
*Currently available for work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 1000-late, Thursday 0800-1800, and weekends. This will be until uni is back in session from Feb 20th*
Back home in Sydney I volunteered ( for 3 years) and worked casually for 2 years in a childcare centre which included a large chunk of full time work after finishing my HSC. I was offered to traineeship at this centre but chose to come to uni in Canberra instead! While there, I worked in both the 2-3 and 3-5 year old rooms so I have lots of experience teaching/looking after pre-school aged children.
I also have experience looking after children from 6 weeks of age. I am very confident in my ability to care for kids of all ages, including babies.
I love imaginative play, creative arts, reading, and exploring. I think it is important for kids to be able to enjoy nature, and therefore encourage as much outdoor (supervised, haha) play as possible. I also enjoy cooking, and find that most children love to get involved too. I also love animals! I am a very organised and neat person and have a 'clean up as you go' attitude.
I have a working with children check (NSW), and current first aid certificates (8.8.2015) in CPR including infants (HLTAID001), providing basic emergency life support (HLTAID002), provide first aid (HLTAID003) and (HLTDA311A), and providing an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting (HLTAID004). These are valid until 8.8.18, when they will be renewed.
Currently I nanny 3 mornings a week for a family living in Curtin and therefore am looking for afternoon/weekend work. I have my full drivers licence and my own car.
I have a written reference letter available from the childcare centre in Sydney, as well as multiple parental references from families I work/have worked for.
