I am a 30yr old Mother who has been working as a Nanny for the past 13 years. I have two children- my son is 5 years old and my daughter is 4 years old.

I am an attachment parent and this extends to the children I care for. I am passionate about babywearing, gentle guidance and I take the time to explain to children what other options they have instead of using time outs etc.

I have worked for over 25 families and have cared for 15 sets of twins. I have impeccable references, a fantastic attitude with children and a respect for varying styles of parenting. And being a parent myself, I better understand the needs of parents, and have greater experience with babies than your average nanny. I usually work for families for a period of more than one year to provide stability to children.

I am also happy to babysit at night or on weekends and also overnight stays.

I have cared for a large number of twins and I am experienced in children close together in age.

My 4 year old daughter comes along to work with me for some daytime nannying jobs. She also attends kindergarten 3 days a week. You may not have considered a mummy-nanny, but there are many great benefits to having a mother as a nanny. I am more experienced than most nannies as looking after children is my life, not my job. Your child gets a playmate when you are at work, so it tends to soften to impact of separation. All of the families I have worked for since having my children have spoken about the unexpected benefits of having a mummy-nanny. I also charge a lower rate if she comes to work with me.

My son (5) attends school in Fitzroy.

I also work as a Doula (birth attendant) and attend births around Melbourne- hospital births, homebirths, birth centre births and cesareans. I am qualified to be a post-birth support.
