Looking for: Part-time, Casual Babysitting
Hi! My name is Melissa. I am from Dallas, Texas and moved here to Australia to study nursing. I have enjoyed my time here exploring, and now I'm looking for an awesome family to work with and get to know.
I have experience and a natural joy for working with children of all ages, and kids tend to take a liking to me very quickly. This might be because I'm very often enthusiastic, excited, and energetic! I have always enjoyed taking care of the little ones of my friends and employers alike, and I look forward to meeting new faces!
General: 27 year old, female carer
Education: Course Complete - Bachelor of Nursing- Advanced Studies at The University of Sydney
Other Skills: I'm a registered nurse, which means I have knowledge about emergency procedures including CPR and choking procedures. My degree also means I am familiar with the care of newborns and infants. I also have learned about child development and learning in theory as well as in practice during clinical placements at the Children's Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children's hospital. I have recently finished my nursing degree which allowed me to experience and provide the care needs of children and adults with complex chronic and acute care needs. I love trying out new arts and crafts, especially with an excitable group! I'm also good at teaching kids new things like songs or dances. I have experience with elementary school homework help and working with special needs children, as well.
Languages: I'm not fluent in any languages other than English, but I have studied both French and Spanish.
Residency status: Temporary until December 2019
