Looking for: Full-time
I'm a confidant caring mother of four grown children including twins.
My demeanor is quite calm and relaxed and i enjoy the company of children.
My previous work experiance is mainly in the hospitality field but this in itself has enabled me to deal with demanding situations in a calm and considerate manner and I can multitask well.
I feel as a mature energetic person i have a lot to give to a family and have dealt with every imaginable situation over the years caring for my children and others.
I have a Working With Childrens Check, Victorian Police Check and First Aid Certificate as well as doing two first aid course updates, all of which have expired but I am happy to have done again if required.
I am understanding and respectful of different cultures and happy to oblige with any cultural needs and expectations as well as maintaining any normal standards a family wishes their children to uphold.
Im looking for full time work or approximately 30-35 hours based over a few days but am quite flexible and happy to mix up the days /hours to suit and also open to some occasional evening babysitting.
My current position looking after two small boys is coming to an end after two lovely years watching them grow which has been a wonderful experience.
I have worked as a full time nanny for five years now and find it a very rewarding job helping families give the love and attention to their children as an extension to their daily needs and giving parents security and peace of mind knowing their children are well cared for.
References are available by phone from both families.
General: 52 year old, female carer
Education: No Tertiary Qualification
Other Skills: I'm an active person who is up at 5am daily to go to the gym and walk daily for exercise. I love pottering in my small balcony garden. I have a passion for cooking and healthy food and think teaching children these skills is a must in early life, it's also a wonderful distraction to get them to help you peel the odd vegetable or stir a cake mix, roll some socks together, after a minute or two they forget about their tantrum or stubbed toe, something i remember from my own childhood. Reading is also one of my interests as well as art and as a mostly stay at home mother in the early years i've tried every type of craft including knitting, painting, embroidering, flower arranging, china work and worked part time at riding school teaching children basic animal care as well as having lessons myself.
