Hi! I am currently at University completing a Bachelor of Primary Education. I believe you can learn so much from children in their early years...they have very fascinating ideas and ways of doing things. I understand that looking after children incorporates three things. Firstly, passion. You need to be passionate in giving the child the best care. Secondly, integrity. Providing parents with the essentials and looking after their child by following specific rules and values of the family. Thirdly, nurture. You need to show that you care.
I am currently working in a child care centre at the moment as a permanent casual child care worker, working with children from ages as low as 5 months to 5 years of age. I have been working in this environment for the past 2 years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have even been awarded a casual of the month certificate of acknowledgement.
I have also worked with children in crèche environments, coaching environments, practicum placements and tutoring environments.

I had resigned myself to never being able to find anyone to quite replace my previous nanny of 6 years. However within a week of having posted my ad on the site I had over 10 serious applications... I had at least three outstanding candidates to choose from and am very happy with the outcome!Karen (Kew, VIC) Read More
Heather interviewed with me for a part time position, for which I had a lot of interest. She made my shortlist & interviewed well. Words I noted in my interview notes were "competent, diligent, friendly". Heather would make an excellent addition to a family and wish her well.Kristin (Coburg, VIC) Read More
