Working with children is such a blessing. I had the opportunity to work as a Nanny for a year looking after two boys aged 2 & 4. I very much enjoyed looking after them as I adore children. Unfortunately they shifted to Joondalup which was an hour drive from where I was living and as I was doing a 7am start and 5pm finish, it was working out to be too long a day including all the travel I had to do so I had to give it up which I was really, really, really sad about.

Since finishing my first Nanny job I have been babysitting occasionally for families and had a few Nanny positions which have been mostly short term. I have been fortunate to find a part time Nanny position which I absolutely love, I currently work 2 days a week for a family with 2 boys. I am looking to find another one full day either Monday or Wednesday or two half days on either a Monday or Wednesday.
In the sections of my life where I have not been around children (when working in other fields) I missed it extremely, which has proven to me that this is where my passion & career choice lies – working with and looking after children.

Apart from working as a Nanny and babysitting I also took part in helping raise my nephew of whom is now 10 years of age. As my sister was quite young when she gave birth and I still lived at home, I completely chipped in and helped in every way possible from getting up during the night to help my sister with feeds to constantly assisting in the fun job of changing nappies and of course getting him to sleep……you could say I was his second mum, which is what he has called me in the past – Mummy number 2, his new nickname for me though is Domma, kind of like Mamma but with Dom in the beginning instead.

I believe in getting children out of the house and going on outings and the park etc and allowing them to play, explore, have fun, enjoy being a child and helping them to develop their cognitive skills. But a child also needs some down time and relaxation time which is why I believe in structure and routine, which would probably go something like – Outing in the morning, return at 11am or so, lunch and nap time around 12noon till about 2pm (rest time for older children or chill out time – movie?) then some less full on activity in the afternoon. I believe the morning is the best time to get children out and using their energy and the afternoon is when you start to wind down the day and take it a bit more easy and less intense. From all my experience as a Nanny, I believe structure and routine work best with young children and helps them to develop a settled atmosphere, stability and comfort.
But of course in saying all that, apon taking any nanny job I always continue what ever routine / structure the parents would set out or want me to do.

I am 30 years of age; I have a car and manual driver’s license. I also have my working with children clearance, police clearance, first aid, bronze medallion and resuscitation. I am very active , energetic and extremely healthy (I also have a health, fitness & nutrition background). I focus highly on feeding children with only the healthiest and most nutritional meals for their growing minds and bodies. I am an extremely dedicated person and very keen to regain a career working with children. I am of Italian background and speak, read and write Italian fluently.

Hi, my names Laura - I am a 21 year old who is currently studying Primary School teaching (majoring in Early Childhood) in my fourth year at Murdoch University. By November I will have completed my degree.

I am looking to start organising work for the December and January holidays. During these times I will be available every day besides Monday morning (until 11.30). Please email me if you would like to secure a nanny for these holidays.

I have plenty of experience with children, along with a current Working with Children's Check, Police Clearance, First Aid Certificate and Drivers Licence/reliable car. I love spending time with children and have experience in babysitting, as well as coaching young teams of girls for dancing for 2 years (Calisthenics).

Many references avaliable. Happy to help out with cooking, tidying up and homework. Areas close to Booragoon area are preferable, although happy to travel to areas south of Perth.

I currently nanny for two families on a weekly basis - one with three boys from the ages of 4-8 and the other three girls from the ages of 5-8. I also do casual weekend/night baby sitting for three other families.

Hi there, my name is Shelby and I'm looking to nanny during the week and/or casual babysitting. I currently nanny for two children after school daily from 3pm, however, I am available during the week until then and weekends.

I have extensive experience, available referees, have completed top marks in childcare courses and have had work experience within a childcare. I hold a police clearance, working with children check and have completed my senior first aid certificate. I have also previously been employed with a cleaning agency and am handy in the kitchen, therefore don't mind light housework and/or preparing meals.

I believe we are all young at heart, but not all of us can get away with finding invisible friends to play with, coming home covered in mud or embody the ability to find hours of entertainment in the simplest of toys - maybe this field of employment just gives me a good reason to join in, but I do my best to create the best atmosphere for balancing play, education and boundaries (without being stubbornly generic).
