I am currently in Australia on a working holiday visa. It is my intention to remain in the Perth until the end of July 2012. I have a strong background in working with children and thoroughly enjoy spending time and having fun with them. I have taken a two year career break from my position as principal of a large primary school in Ireland. I spent last year in New Zealand and had the opportunity to work in primary schools, an early childhood centre and as a nanny with two different families. Since arriving in Australia in October 2011 I have been a nanny for a family in Melbourne. I have also worked with newborns through to highschool childen in the past and also with children who have special needs.I enjoyed all of these experiences very much and am looking forward to more similar opportunites while in Australia. As you can appreciate, having graduated from teacher training college in 2000, I am very experienced in working with children and understand the great care and attention which is required. I can assure you that should I be the career of your children they will be extremely well cared for with love and attention to their individual needs. I have a full drivers licence and a current first aid certificate completed last March with the New Zealand Red Cross and an anaphalyxis course completed in Melbourne in November 2011. I am a very happy , friendly , sociable person and children warm to me with ease as my past experiences prove. I am presently registered with The Victorian Institute of Teaching and the WA Teaching Council, both of which incorporate a Police Check as part of the registration process. I have made my WWCC application and am awaiting the issuing of the card. I would very much like the opportunity to care for your children while I am in Perth.

I have been babysitting since I was 14 and I have regularly cared for children of a variety of ages - newborn through to teenagers.

I currently work as a Nanny part time caring for three children aged 5, 9 and 10. I have been working for this family for three years. My duties include light household chores (e.g. tidying, washing, ironing), preparing healthy meals for children, helping with homework and music practice, organising activities and taking children on outings.
