I have been nannying and mentoring children for over 5 years from new borns to young teenagers.

I am ideally (though not essentially) seeking a family who desires a long term carer to join their family and who would like to have a positive, honest relationship with their nanny.

I am an intuitive thinker, a helper, always ready to learn and am flexible with extra evening or weekend hours that will suit the family. I am highly efficient at cleaning and cooking around caring for children and strive to go beyond the minimal asked of me.

Currently I work once a week for a family with a 4 year old girl and 7 year old boy, baby sitting in the evenings and domestic cleaning in the afternoons. This job is flexible around any main job that I may acquire. This work includes folding and putting away families clean washing, changing bed sheets, organising toys and books, cleaning dishes, preparing dinner and ensuring children are washed and in bed on time.

Recently, I have finished working for a family where I cared for their 1 year old and 4 year old - 4 days a week, and 10 year old -after school and school holidays. Here I furthered my skills of communication, time management, and ability to care for different age groups simultaneously. Some activities with these children include: going on outings to the park, zoo etc, playing inside and outside, baking, dress ups, play dough, dancing, singing, reading, role play, healthy eating games, and many more fun, teaching games.

I have also mentored/ babysat for a Sudanese family for the past few years consisting of a 2 year old, 4 year old and 8 year old who could speak very little English and were not accustomed to Australian culture. (Age they are now). This entailed extensive experience caring for under 1 year olds including a baby on the way when I first started (the now 2 year old).

I am passionate about caring for babies and children in an active learning environment with knowledge of child development and psychology. I believe child care is a constant learning relationship between child and carer (often surprising) which is part of why I enjoy it so much.

I have a WWCC,/ police check, drivers license and First Aid certificate. I am also happy to get any other qualifications required by the right family. I currently charge a rate of $20-24 per hour depending on position -however with the right family I am always open to negotiation.

I am a child carer who will bring something unique to your family's life and will never allow distance or travel time to effect my reliability.
