In 2011 I completed a Graduate Diploma in Primary Education, and am now a qualified primary school teacher. I have decided to begin my career by working as a CRT teacher and in child care to gain a broad range of experiences before I move into full-time teaching later on, and so have plenty of time and flexibility. I am also a freelance writer and editor, and as this work tends to be both intensive and sporadic, I am available for short term/temporary work rather than an ongoing commitment.

As well as the experience I gained during my teaching rounds, I have also worked on school holiday programs, and so have experience with children of all ages. I worked as a babysitter for one family over a period of approximately six years, and during this time looked after a girl from the age of four to ten years old, and her little brother from the age of six months to two years old. I really enjoy spending time with kids, and love observing - and participating in in! - their wonder and excitement as they learn about the world. I am relaxed and calm, and children respond well to me. I know how to be silly, and how and when to be firm with kids, and have had plenty of experience dealing with challenging behaviour. In whatever context I am spending time with children I hope to encourage their sense of curiosity, creativity and respect for other people.

Hi, My name is Kimm.
I am 22 years old and have my Diploma of Children's Services. I have a current police check, working with children check, I have my First Aid Level 2 Certificate, Asthma training and my anaphylaxis. I have a current car license and own my own car.
I have had a lot of experience working with children, this being through my placements at Centre's for long periods of up to 5 weeks and also having babysitting experience of up to 4 years with ages ranging from 4 months to 11 years. I have worked in a full time nannying job for a year, which was caring for 4 children, aged 11, 10, 5 and 6 months. It consisted of picking two of the children up from school and looking after the baby and 5 year old through the day. As well as some light duties around the house.
I have worked full time as a room leader in a child care centre where I ran my own 2-3 year old room for two years.
I resigned from this centre about a year ago and since then have been working full time hours but as a casual relief staff member at centres all around Melbourne.
I now work at a Centre Mon, Tues, Wed and Fri.
I have also nannied every Thursday for 10 hours for the last year for a family. I have been looking after two children, aged 5 years and nearly 2 years. My jobs included school drop off and pick ups, preparing the youngest's food, baking biscuits, along with a bunch of other duties. The Mum is having another baby and is due in May, so I am only available to nanny on Thursday after May the 7th.

I have recently finished working at the Church Grammar School, Launceston, where I resided in the girl’s boarding house, responsible for assisting the students in their studies and daily routines. I have previously lived in Italy for six months where I studied and cared for a four year old girl. I currently live with my partner’s sister in order to assist them in caring for their two children during after school hours while they fulfill their work commitments. I enjoy communicating and playing with young children and I prefer participating in educational, stimulating activities rather than allowing entertainment through the television. I am able to teach the children Italian language skills if a foreign language is being encouraged. I currently study Law and I am in my second year, I enjoy fashion, sport and the ballet.
