I feel that I am a lot more mature for twenty one as I have experienced and been through a lot more than most people would at my age. Being a full time carer is a very full on and a very busy job. My duties were a lot similar to Childcare at times as I would have to assist with showering, changing of clothes, help with walking, running errands, making sure food was prepared and served on time and giving out the correct level of prescribed medication. Thankfully my mother is a lot better today and she is more independent. I still look after her but not full time.

Hi there! My name is Georgie and I am 23 years of age. I have been babysitting since I was 15 and adore working with children. Growing up with many younger cousins, it was clear that I enjoyed taking care of children. This led me to pursue my first job in babysitting. Whether it is day care, afternoon or evening babysitting, I continue to help out families around Brighton. I also have a WWC and work part time at a Brighton child care centre!

Although I have kept a few casual babysitting/ nannying positions, I have also had many office workplace experiences. These experiences have also enhanced my ability to communicate and deal with numerous personality types and behaviours. As a result, I am very patient and listen carefully. These skills are important in babysitting/ nannying as children begin to develop their own ways of dealing with situations and expressing themselves!

I also have a keen interest in fitness and nutrition. This led me to pursue a part time degree in fitness in 2010. Throughout this degree, I learnt how to teach children to enjoy healthy living. Thus, in nannying and babysitting I understand the importance of nutrition and am able to cook on a regular basis.

That being said, I also enjoy baking and my yummy cupcakes have received many compliments!

I have had years of experience working with families and babies/ children of all ages.

I have a Working With Children certificate and I have my own sturdy and safe car, with many years driving experience.

I feel that I am a kid at heart and that is the key to entertaining and connecting with children - being relatable.

I am very domesticated and willing to help out around the house.

I enjoy drama, arts and crafts and baking!

- For all of 2011 I worked as a Gap Student in a Prepatory School in Eastbourne, United Kingdom. I assisted classes in Art, Year Five, Pre-prep (fed and cared for children under the age of five), PE and Games (coached and umpired Netball, Rounders and Hockey). I was also a Personal Assistant to teaching staff (I performed duties such as office work: filing, laminating, correcting work, etc).
